🩶TODAY IS JAVAN ALLISON ASTHMA AWARENESS DAY! 🩶 September 29. A day that will forever mean something different to our family. When you watch this video, you’re looking at a part of our story. A story of hospital stays. Treatments. Medications. Fear. Prayer. Advocacy. Missed school days. Football dreams. And a little boy who refused to allow asthma to tell him what he couldn’t do. That’s me! My parents lived this journey right beside me. There were moments when their only prayer was simply, “God, let my baby breathe.” 🙏🏾 And look at me now. 🩶 The little boy that once worried about being able to breathe is now a young man, author, asthma advocate and Division I student-athlete chasing the very dreams asthma could have convinced me were impossible. Every family learning triggers, medications and action plans. And every child who has ever wondered, “Can I still do this?” YES, YOU CAN.
