Ranbir and Ranveer are great actors and hopefully going to survive for 30 more years, but as of now their stardom doesn’t even come close to Aamir Khan, who is the least popular among the trinity of Khans. Ranveer had a series of flops before D1 and D2 even though a few movies were average, not outright bad, and then we have Salman Khan, whose outright bad movies did massive business only because of his name— that’s called stardom. And matching SRK? Lol, that would be a dream which can’t be achieved by any actors in India in our lifetime.
These few days, the stray dogs will be shit scared, given the rampage they create on a daily basis, it is absolutely justified. 😂
After watching Ramayana, it’s fair to say that Ranveer Singh is more versatile. His filmography includes different movies like Gully Boy, Band Baaja Baraat, D1 & D2, RARKPK, 83. All these movies were different from each other, and Ranveer’s performance was good throughout.
Then Ranbir’s filmography also has gems like Rocket Singh, Barfi, Animal, YJHD, Wake Up Sid, Jagga Jasoos. But apart from Animal & Barfi, his characters are pretty much the same in all other movies, including Brahmastra.
I admired RK more but not anymore after watching Ramayana. Ranveer has better range and versatility and is a bit ahead of RK at this point but definitely not miles ahead.
Two Bollywood movies which failed to live up to their hype this year:
1) Drishyam 3
2) Ramayana
Both were mid af.
My biggest flex is to convert my best friend from being a Salman Khan fan to an SRK fan. Now he goes gaga over SRK and calls Salman a finished clown. But in the process I started liking Salman’s style. Goes both ways. 😂

Both sides are saying that I’m being paid to give a positive/negative review. 😂
I reiterate, Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana is a very average movie.
You don’t leave the theatre feeling the way you did after watching Kantara or Narasimha. The movie fails to evoke emotion or devotion.
The music is one of the biggest letdowns.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Just watched Ramayana. It’s neither extraordinary nor unwatchable. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️/ 5
👉🏻Ravana is not only glorified but also justified. The Asuras are portrayed as victims, with the film attempting to present them as a community fighting for their rights. Although, Yash as Ravana steals the show.
👉🏻 Ranbir Kapoor looks perfect as Ram, but his emotional expressions and acting lack consistency and coherence. Lakshman and Dasharath, on the other hand, are among the best casting choices in the film.
👉🏻 Sai Pallavi as Sita isn’t particularly impressive, but I wouldn’t call her a complete miscast either. Sita being portrayed as a powerful character is one of the film’s best aspects, apart from the action sequences.
👉🏻 The music is a huge letdown. The soundtrack fails to evoke emotions or devotion. Nothing really stays with you.
👉🏻 Overall, I didn’t find the film extraordinary or anything that could be described as never seen before.
👉🏻 The VFX/CGI are good, except for a few scenes that look straight out of GTA.
👉🏻 If you’re planning to watch it, go without expectations and don’t let the hype/criticism on Twitter influence your experience.
👉🏻 And if you’re planning to skip it, you aren’t missing much either.
#RamayanaMovie is brilliant in the first 40 minutes and the last 30 minutes. The fight sequences are really well done, and the highlight of the movie is the climax fight between Jatayu and Raavana, which is visually stunning and definitely provides a jaw-dropping moment. I liked Yash’s performance the most, although nothing extraordinary or out of this world, as people are saying. If you have seen his earlier movies, you’ll get my point. Ranbir is a great actor and my next favourite after SRK but tbh, I found his performance to be quite underwhelming. The pacing in the 1st half could have been better. The 2nd half was totally tight and nailed the pacing issue.
Is it a masterpiece? I don’t think so.
Does it connect emotionally? In bits and parts.
Is it worth a watch in theatres? Definitely 💯. No movie in India looked so stunning and gorgeous. VFX is top notch, CGI – 💯, and the makers have definitely spent money, but honestly, 2k crores for the 1st part seems a bit exaggerated.
3 weeks in Kolkata and it feels like I have never been to Bengaluru. Next weekend is gonna be hell with loads and loads of intoxication. 😂

I don't think this is accurate. Bahubali has a few elements taken from the Ramayana, but the film draws far more from the Mahabharata and The Lion King. There are clear parallels to Duryodhanas jealousy and hunger for power, Shakuni's scheming and Bhishmas sense of duty.
The themes of succession, betrayal, family rivalry are rooted in the Mahabharata. The Ramayana influences are minute in comparison, while the Mahabharata influence is far more visible in the movie.

Some personalities are bigger than the platforms which made them famous:
Lionel Messi is bigger than football.
Virat Kohli is bigger than cricket.
Shah Rukh Khan is bigger than Bollywood.
