Really lovely way to describe what learning a language can do for you.
If you’re lucky enough to learn a new language in school, you’ll discover new worlds, new adventures. You’ll make new connections, take a different view of life. You’ll see everything through a different filter. You’ll have ‘access all areas’. You gain a lot with a new language.

Useful advice
Is your teen scrolling instead of sleeping? Try agreeing a few small changes together: Set a realistic time to stop scrolling and wind down Switch on “Do Not Disturb” overnight Charge phones away from the bed Find something they enjoy winding down with, like reading or a bath

This is so sad. Having the opportunity to learn a language opens so many doors. It also teaches us to communicate across cultures and learning that we are just human.
“It is possible that in August 2028 England will have the smallest cohort ever taking MFL GCSEs.”

Is your teen studying in bed? While it’s still early in the academic year, now is a good time to help them change this habit and build a study routine. Encourage them to try a desk, the kitchen table or another comfortable spot with good lighting.

Wishing all our young people the very best.
For parents this GCSE results day 💛 Keep the night before calm. Avoid predicting grades. On the day, focus on your teen before the numbers. If things don’t go to plan, don’t panic - speak to the school and sixth form/college first. There are always options.
