When my Dad was killed at Hillsborough I was just 6 years old, inside our home was dull of shock, devastation, me spending a lot of time in my bedroom whilst I listened to lots of crying downstairs and people coming and going.
My mum tried to keep life "normal" by still taking my to school but reality was that I had to go to school late and be collected early, because Journalists from a certain newspaper would hide behind cars to try and get my photo.
That S*n Front Page, from 19th April 1989, shaped my whole life.
It was the reason that I was bullied and taunted at school.
As I grew up and became increasingly curious about what actually happened at Hillsborough, I would use college study time and their Internet access to look for answers. My peers were producing power points on different child psychologists and the Children's Act, whilst I was producing them on Hillsborough and the cover up (totally unrelated to child care!).
The lack of candour, the lack of respect, the lack of compassion, rhe lack of privacy, the lack of duty of care from that S*n article contributed to the reason why I have spent my entire adult life fighting against a cover up, and it contributed to the fact that it took 25 years to have an honest, and transparent, death certificate for my dad.
Many Hillsborough survivors have taken their own lives.
A huge factor in Tradgey Chanting at football stadiums is a direct consequence of false news reports.
When Caroline Flack died, the world was devastated and the united message was "In a world where you can be anything.....be kind".
And now here we are again, this weekend has seen another young, intelligent, life lost.
Professor Jason Arday was hounded. Humiliated, Accused, Isolated.
We can not imagine the despair and turmoil that he must have felt to of been in a place where no longer being here was greater than living.
The culture of press in this country is diabolical, with false, libellous, articles and misleading headlines every single day and yet IPSO has not opened a single investigation for over a DECADE.
We CAN NOT only be outraged when this happens to someone we know, or when it takes another life.
Culture change only happens when many good people stand up to those who abuse their positions of power........be a part of that change.

I’d always assumed government alerts issued to all mobile phones were for serious, imminent danger. Wildfires are serious but if the alerts are used for general public safety briefings people will become complacent and they will lose their value.

I cant sleep.
There are roughly 3,100 miles across the Atlantic, between me and Lindsay Clancy.
Lindsay is on trial for 1st degree murder of her 3 children.
She is accused of strangling them to death with an exercise band for each child and then throwing herself out of her bedroom window to commit suicide.
She didn't do it.
There is no way on God's green earth that lady killed those babies.
She. Did. Not. Do. It.
Lindsay was honest, open and sought help for her mental health struggles following the birth of her 3rd son.
Between September 2022 and January 2023 She was put on 13 different medications.
Anti anxiety.
Anti depression medication.
Bi polar meds.
Anti psychotic meds.
She would go days with no sleep.
Her "Doctor" Jennifer Tufts had never actually SEEN Lindsay in oerson until she gave evidence at Lindsays trial.
All appointments done via teams.
All medication increased done via their weird American medical insurance shite.
Lindsay was failed.
Lindsay did not kill those children and she only confessed becauae the POLICE told her she did it.
Upon learning she had killed her own children she signed a fucking DNR.
I honestly wish this was in the UK so I could attend that court and let her know that I see her, and I support her.
20 + years experience of working in Maternity.....if you dont understand post purple or post natal psychotic episodes do not even bother to reply.
This woman is innocent and what is happening to her is fucking barbaric.

So @andyburnham on a labour government’s watch this annual report which lists the 1000’s of deaths of learning disabled people including children(& most of them avoidable) is being scrapped. Not because the problem is solved but because it’s getting worse. Who cares though right?

Look how they have romanticised this headline. Woman dies days after her partner is found dead.
Only when you read the article does it tell you Zoe Marie Dixon was bludgeoned with a hammer by her partner and it took her 6 days to die in hospital
He ran off and killed himself

Not having this discourse that the Premier League’s physical and mental exertions mean conservative football has to be a given when we’ve actually experienced the opposite. The style is absolutely a choice.
Manchester City and Liverpool were involved in the most exacting, no-margin-for-error title races but still played ridiculously good football. Pochettino’s Tottenham were a marvel too.
The 2018-19 Champions League was one for the ages:
Tottenham 4-4 Man City quarter-final
The Spurs 3-3 Ajax semi
CORNER TAKEN QUICKLY in the most insane comeback
What about the intensity of that LFC-MCFC quarter-final in 2017-18? And Liverpool beating Roma SEVEN! - SIX! in the semis.
2021-22: Chelsea 4-5 Real Madrid, Benfica 4-6 Liverpool, City 5-6 Real Madrid
The list goes on.
For so long it was held against both PSG and Bayern that they wilted when it mattered in the Champions League because their domestic seasons were a walkover. They didn’t have tough games to prime them. We can’t pick and choose narratives when it suits.

This isn't the nicest tweet to have to write but a necessary one.....
The Hillsborough Memorial at Anfield is a special place of remembrance for the 97.
It's a place where many of us find comfort and a chance to be still. It's place that many bereaved families now bring our children and grandchildren to educate them and, for children like my own, it is 1 of the very few places that they have to feel close to their grandad.
This week, I took 1 of my sons to see the memorialat his request, and whilst reading tributes, he spotted a little glass Hennessy bottle filled with ashes.....he thought it was in some way connected to his Grandad. I then had to explain that the bottle was an alcoholic drink, the ashes were not connected to us, and that many fans and loved ones want to be left at the ground when they pass away.....
The point of this tweet is to respectfully ask that people do not leave ashes on the memorial.
The memorial is for the 97, and whilst we completely understand and have empathy for those who pass away and their loved 1s, it is somewhat uncomfortable to see it becoming a shrine for ashes.
Yesterday, there were over 20 little trinkets full of ashes and yet there are signs asking people not to leave them there.
I appreciate that bereaved loved ones will only be honouring the family member lost whose wishes were likely to be that they would like to be left at the ground, but please - not on the memorial.
It's not really a conversation any of us should need to explain to our children and grandchildren, and there have been incidents where it has been distressing for some of the family members of the 97.
It's also not nice for the club staff who have to remove them.
Again, I'm saying this with the utmost empathy, understanding and respect, but the look of horror on my sons face when he thought the Hennessy bottle was in some way connected to our family has driven me to need to address the issue.
Thanks so much for understanding.
Floral tributes are more than welcome ❤️

Everything rotten in Britain stems from this period. Everything.
Landlord rents. Shit in the rivers. Zero work hours. No British industry. Gas, electric bills through the roof,
No affordable housing.
All of it.

For your information: when Eddie died of meningitis, he didn't have a rash on his body. I discovered after he had died (as I was pulling him from his bed) that he had a rash in his armpits.
