Replying to @ARISEtv
My respect for @Sumner_Sambo just went a few notches higher. Brilliant and balanced analysis of the runner up to 2027.
The opposition are too fixated on the Presidential candidates; Obi and Atiku Abubakar. The Parliament should be for grabs too. Will they heed or simply hiss?

Governors Adeleke and Soludo Should Have Been Sanctioned by Their Political Parties for Being on the Campaign Team for President Tinubu - Sambo
They are engaging in classical antiparty because there is no formal agreement between the APC and APGA or the APC and ACCORD. If it were the other way round, President Tinubu would come after the head of any APC governor who goes ahead to be on the campaign team of the opposition.

President Tinubu Not Going Around the Country for Campaign is a Weak Point for the APC - Sambo
Some opposition members are saying he is not fit enough to face the electorate, and others are saying he doesn’t want to face the anger of voters because of the economic crisis.

Enough With Personality Clashes, We Must Focus on the Issues Ahead of 2027 - Sambo
The conversation should be about the issues we face ahead of 2027, not about personality clashes. We’ve had enough of the distractions. The media also has a responsibility not to provide platforms for people who bring divisive messages into our polity. Let’s focus on the issues. Let’s hold our politicians to account, whether they are contesting or not.

While the Opposition Is Building a Coalition, the APC Is Also Building a Coalition With Wike - Sambo
The FCT minister is bringing a chunk; his presidential candidate is not so strong; it will be a very interesting and competitive presidential election ahead. People like Wike should not be underrated by the opposition group; he is building alliances.

The PDP Has Now Been Divided Into 3 Arms: ADC With Atiku, the NDC With Obi, and the APM With Makinde - Sambo
The PDP could have stood formidably to challenge the APC, but unfortunately, the PDP is now nowhere. If all these people came together, it would be a formidable force against the APC.

Atiku Needs To Explain What Going Back To Fuel Subsidy Entails — Sambo
Atiku Abubakar should be held to account to explain what going back to fuel subsidy means for Nigerians. It would mean returning to the problems we previously had, which we have already identified as a national challenge, including long queues at fuel stations.
Atiku needs to clarify what exactly he intends to introduce and how his proposal to support refineries would work.

“Nigerians Should Focus More on Money Being Embezzled” - Sumner Sambo on Tinubu vs Atiku
🔹 Arise News political editor Sumner Sambo has urged Nigerians to stop focusing on the ongoing dispute between President Bola Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
🔹 Speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show, Sambo said the real issues are embezzled public funds, out-of-school children, cost of governance and corruption within government.
🔹 He stated: “Tinubu and Atiku’s disputes are distracting us a lot… Allegations of embezzlement here and there. Those are the issues that we should be looking at.”
🔹 Sambo called on Nigerians to demand clear answers from candidates on what they will do better than the current administration.
🔹 He also urged focus on political reforms and restructuring, regardless of who wins in 2027.
A call to prioritise substance over political drama.

Nigerians Should Be Focusing On Money Being Embezzled, Not The Atiku-Tinubu Dispute - Sambo
You listened to Peter Obi yesterday when he made it clear that the issues that should dominate our attention as Nigerians are not being discussed. Instead, the focus should be on what political parties will do to promote good governance, reduce the number of out-of-school children, cut the cost of governance, and take a critical look at the corruption within government.
