Sometimes I sit back and wonder how I can make this dream work at 36, with a full time job and a whole life to keep up with. I’ve taken 2-3 semi-hiatuses this year alone because of life changes, and I wonder how I’m supposed to keep growing. People say age is just a number, and that starting later in life comes with its own advantages, like maturity and discipline. But how do you grow when real-life responsibilities have to come first? When sometimes you have to choose rest over creating because you know pushing yourself any harder will only lead to burnout? I know growth isn’t just about numbers, but finally reaching 20-25 CCV this year was such a blessing. I’m genuinely happy with how far I’ve come. But there’s still that little voice in my head telling me that every time I step away, I’m falling behind or undoing the progress I’ve made. Sometimes I look at other VTubers who work full time and still manage to create so much content, and I wish I could do more too. I know we all have different circumstances and responsibilities, and comparing myself to others isn’t fair, but that doesn’t make the feeling go away. I guess I’ve opened a can of worms I’ve been keeping shut for a while. I think part of me just needs to learn to be more patient with myself. I want to do so much more, and it’s hard not to feel like I’m falling behind sometimes. But I also know I’ve come a long way, even if my progress hasn’t always been consistent. I have big hopes for next year, and I want to give myself the chance to see them through. For now, I’ll keep doing what I can, at the pace I can manage, and try not to be so hard on myself along the way. Because slow progress is still progress, right?
