Majin Buu's Japanese Voice Actor, Kōzō Shioya, passed away earlier this year on January 20, days before Dragon Ball Super: BEERUS was announced at the Genkidamatsuri event.
BEERUS used his previously recorded lines in the remaster.
Mitsuaki Kanuka has now taken over the role of Majin Buu, starting with Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO.

Dragon Ball Super: BEERUS Episode 3 didn't use the old Yamcha VA's recordings, as the previous VA was involved in an extramarital affair, physical assault, and coercion.
The new VA, Ryota Suzuki, takes over to record the same lines for the 2026 Remaster.

Where did the saturation go in the second half of the episode? 💀
You might argue that Beerus' madness over pudding made it all dark, but even after he had calmed down, the saturation didn't go back to being how it was.

They're using the old recordings; that's why Bulma "shouting" at Beerus feels a bit off and doesn't match her animated expressions since in the original anime, Bulma didn't jump on Beerus.

2015 vs 2026
Beerus Episode 3 doesn't show how terrified Vegeta was upon seeing the God of Destruction. He was so scared of his power level that he had to embarrass himself by making takoyaki/bingo dance just to keep Beerus calm.
Vegeta doing embarrassing things he'd never do to please the GoD is something Toriyama had in his original vision, but the remaster doesn't do justice to it that well.

The problem with this episode is that it completely assumes that everyone's watched the original 2015 anime.
That's why, it feels heavily rushed without leaving a second to breathe.
