Today, we celebrate the 35th anniversary of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, which first aired on September 4, 1989!
I'm pleased to announce that all 13 weeks of episodes plus a collection of bonus material have now been all posted to the Internet Archive!
For fun, I've put together a compilation of my picks for the arrangements of music from Super Mario Bros. 2 in the Super Show! which I think are the closest to their game counterparts in melody and construction.
Take a listen!
For those wanting to see the restored episodes without the compression that comes from YouTube, I've started uploading batches of them to the Internet Archive!

Here's a promotional slide from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode 217-105 "Reign Storm," which shows Mario with black hair which was fixed to be brown for the final episode!
My two cents on this is that it isn't even just the upscaling, but the frame rate is especially bad here. It's not too noticeable with the cartoon segments, but it's very obvious with the intro.
Here's what the intro looks like when running at a correct 60fps.
I know there's a few screen shots floating around showing how bad the AI upscaling is on The Super Mario Super Show on @MeTVtoons , but if you wanna see it in motion, here's the intro and a small clip. I didn't realize it was actually this bad, even the logo is messed up.
