When she auditioned for A Bronx Tale, the other girls were nervous about meeting Robert De Niro.
Taral had grown up in the theater and barely watched TV, so she couldn’t understand why everyone was making such a big deal. She got the part of Jane. Five years later, she played Keisha opposite DMX in Belly.
On October 26, she sat down with Chazz Palminteri to talk about A Bronx Tale. He remembered seeing roughly 3,000 girls for the role of Jane. The one they chose didn’t even know who Robert De Niro was she looked him up after she got the part.
Lawd, she still makes me sit up every time I see her in Belly.

Sitting down with The Breakfast Club alongside his wife Ashanti, Nelly was asked by Charlamagne Tha God whether he ever considered himself more dominant than Jay-Z during his prime.
Nelly initially pushed back on the comparison, explaining that sales aren’t the only factor when discussing dominance. He pointed out that Michael Jackson’s Thriller sold more than Off the Wall, but that didn’t necessarily make it the better album musically.
However, he also agreed with his wife Ashanti, who argued that he had the culture in a chokehold for a while.
