đ§ @Caltrans8 has begun a $5.5 million emergency repair project at Sheep Creek Bridge on SR-2 in Wrightwood.
Work is scheduled MondayâSaturday, 7 a.m.â7 p.m., weather permitting. Flaggers will direct rock-hauling trucks. Please slow down near work zones and watch for vehicles.
Constituent Services Director Samuel Shoup joined the @GHDChamber to celebrate the ribbon cutting and grand opening of Handel's Homemade Ice Cream in Apple Valley!
The celebration continues from 11-2 Saturday, and the first 100 guests will receive free ice cream for a year!
City of Victorville will be performing nighttime utility work on Cobalt Road in front of Silverado High School, Oct. 26 through Nov. 20.
As a result, Cobalt Road will be reduced to one open lane between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. daily. Traffic will be maintained in both directions.
Saturday's roadwork on SB I-15 has been canceled.

On October 10 and 11, the San Bernardino County Sheriffâs Departmentâs Work Release Program (WRP) conducted a community cleanup along Summit Valley Road in Hesperia.
Participants removed two 40-yard dumpsters worth of trash and 30 abandoned vehicle tires, helping improve the community while fulfilling court-ordered service.
The Work Release Program provides an alternative to incarceration, allowing participants to give back to their communities while maintaining employment, continuing their education, and supporting their families.
This successful cleanup highlights the departmentâs continued commitment to community partnerships and service.

With high winds expected to further strengthen overnight into tomorrow, San Bernardino County has staffed and pre-positioned a @Cal_OES Strike Team and an additional County Fire handcrew for augmented response to incidents.

I had a great time filming last weekâs @SBCounty âState of the Countyâ presentation at Emma Jeanâs Holland Burger Cafe. This is one of my favorite spots to eat along Route 66, and a treasured local landmark here in the First District!

Here's some tips on how to stay safe during high winds:
⢠Itâs best to stay indoors during high winds.
⢠If you must drive, keep a safe distance away from other vehicles. Strong wind gusts may blow vehicles off-course. Also, stay clear of box trucks, RVs and other large trucks since they are susceptible to high winds.
⢠Stay clear of downed power lines. Avoid anything that may be touching a downed power line including tree branches and vehicles. Also, call 911 and your local energy company to report downed power lines.
⢠Avoid parking near large trees that could fall on your car.
