I really enjoyed meeting @gwenstefani & her family. One of our 10 inaugural Hall of Fame Inductees. She inspires girls everywhere, dreaming of a better future, to be more than what the world expects from “Just A Girl.” There’s “No Doubt”your influence is felt in Orange County. 🌸

Today, I joined Orange County Fire Chief McGovern and @KatrinaFoley to survey the damage from the Norte Fire.
Seeing the devastation firsthand is heartbreaking, especially for the families who lost their homes or were forced to evacuate. My own family was among those evacuated, and I know how grateful our community is for the extraordinary work of our firefighters and first responders.
Their heroic efforts prevented this fire from being far worse.
As recovery efforts continue and crews prepare for potential rain and debris flows, we remain committed to helping those impacted.
To every firefighter, first responder, and local official who helped protect our community: thank you.

This afternoon, continued high tides impacted our rail line signal system and brought debris onto our tracks, causing temporary closures of the Metrolink and Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains. Crews are making progress clearing debris -- passengers should anticipate ongoing delays.
Thank you to @goOCTA for providing bus bridges to ensure our passengers can complete their trips.

We cut the ribbon on the “Laguna Canyon Road: Protect & Connect” project this week. By under-grounding utility lines, we protect a critical evacuation route, canyon wildlife, and the road home for 36,000 daily commuters. ocregister.com/2026/08/05/43…
Heartbreaking but hopeful meeting tonight in @LaderaRanch Great to see so many residents show up. We will continue to advocate for state health investigations into environmental factors, plus elimination of the use of unnecessary unhealthy toxic pesticides/herbicides.
Hundreds of Ladera Ranch residents demanded answers and a broader investigation after reports of multiple young people connected to the community developed Ewing sarcoma. foxla.com/news/ladera-ranch-…

Fire has been declared under control. Aerial view from OCFA FIREHAWK earlier in the fire shows where firefighters stopped the fire before it reached the homes.
