My house is barely 300 metres from where this happened. This is no longer just news or politics; it is a threat to our safety and peace of mind.
Honestly, it is alarming. When insecurity reaches this close to home, you begin to question whether staying is worth the risk.
To the people of Kaduna, WAKE UP! Your safety and your future are in your hands. What is happening in Millennium City, a highbrow area, is a warning of what could happen anywhere in Kaduna. Don’t wait until it reaches your doorstep before you speak up.
If you fail to unite and demand action from your government now, don’t expect things to get better on their own. Make your voices heard. Put your leaders under pressure and demand that they fulfill their responsibility to protect you.
This is a democracy. The people you elected are accountable to you. They enjoy security while ordinary citizens live in fear. You cannot continue to suffer in silence while those elected to protect you remain comfortable.

The assassination of Mal Yahaya Masussuka should make every Muslim reflect. We remember when Sheikh Ja’afar Mahmoud Adam was killed, some celebrated. When Sheikh Albani of Zaria was assassinated, some celebrated. When Shia Muslims were gruesomely murdered including children of Sheikh Zakzaky in Zaria, some celebrated. or during the Maulud gathering in Tudun Biri, Kaduna, some again celebrated. Even when scholars like Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi and Abdulaziz Dutsen Tanshi died, some still celebrated. Why do we keep doing this? Because people let their interpretations turn into justification for hate, instead of restraint. Interpretation can differ, but dehumanizing cannot be the outcome. Disagreement is not a license to hate. The death of a Muslim from another sect is not victory for your ideology. We need to disagree without celebrating tragedy.

A STRONG CONDEMNATION OF THE UNISLAMIC DISPLAY BY SOME MEMBERS OF A MUSLIM FIRST AID GROUP
We strongly condemn the disturbing and unacceptable display reportedly made by some members of a Muslim first aid group on social media.
It is deeply concerning that the statements, attitudes, and actions of some individuals who identify as Muslims appear to contradict the noble teachings, moral values, and principles of Islam. Such conduct risks tarnishing the image of Islam and negatively affecting the perception of Muslims across Nigeria and the world at large.
Islam is a religion of peace, mercy, dignity, discipline, and respect for human life. No individual or group should use the name of Islam to justify conduct that contradicts these fundamental values. Being a Muslim or belonging to an Islamic organisation comes with a responsibility to uphold good character, decency, and accountability.
We therefore call on the relevant security agencies and appropriate regulatory authorities to investigate this display, establish the facts, and take appropriate action in accordance with the law if any wrongdoing is confirmed.
We also urge Muslim leaders, Islamic organisations, and community stakeholders to educate their members on the importance of responsible conduct, especially on social media, where individual actions can have far-reaching consequences.
Our condemnation is not an attack on Islam or the Muslim community. Rather, it is a call to protect the honour of Islam, uphold its authentic teachings, and ensure that those who associate themselves with the faith act with responsibility and dignity.
Islam deserves to be represented by its authentic teachings, not by conduct that brings its name into disrepute.
May Allah guide us all to what is right, grant us wisdom in our words and actions, and preserve the dignity and integrity of Islam and the Muslim Ummah. Āmīn.
