So I have been thinking about and working on the issue of potency testing of Cannabis and COA's used to generate label claims. Here are some thoughts;
Some people claim Canadian Cannabis testing labs can not get accurate results because there is no standard method. Yet twice a year PT Canada runs PT trials trials with more than 20 labs participating. Data can be found here, what is their evidence? ptcanada.org/pt-resources/ge…
This is the best chance to get things in the Cannabis Regulations working better for our sector.

It was my pleasure to participate in this discussion even though technical issues made it more of a monolog. We are going to get this issue solved, but like any addiction the first step is admitting an defining the problem. @NORMLCanada #suprarnd #THCInflation
The "THC inflation" in consumer products is unacceptable. It is not that labs are unable to test accurately, but rather some processors and labs are unethical as are Provincial distributors using >27% THC as indication of quality. We can't tolerate this. It can be fixed.
Interesting. I submitted my study on THC inflation to BC Cannabis and Health Canada on March 1st. No response. Yesterday, a colleague suggested I resend the complaint along with some new data. Within 3 minutes BC Cannabis Stores Customer Care Center responded with a ticket #.
Health Canada’s Cannabis Licensing and Security Division presented “Cannabis testing best practices and lot release”. I was happy with this. Test product in its final consumer packages ! HC says it is monitoring and will address inflated label claims. Fingers crossed

“The provincial buyers need to throw away this thing that if you don’t have 20 percent THC on the COA that they’re not going to buy their product. That is ridiculous and is contributing to the problem.” stratcann.com/news/lab-owner…
My team Supra Research and Development conducted a study on products in BC Cannabis stores. 93% of the 46 products we tested were more than 15% less than label claim. For 1g packages it was worse. We tested 4 sets of 5 with same lot #, below is that data.
I have more detailed discussion of this on LinkedIn. linkedin.com/in/suprarob/
Just a thought. What if major twitter influencers moved to Mastodon and disgruntled twitter advertisers paid to set up servers that regular users could use for free ? @BobRae48 @AOC @StephenKing @CNN @gmbutts @PeteButtigieg @abcnews @GeneralMills

Trudeau tops Poilievre for preferred prime minister, Nanos poll shows theglobeandmail.com/politics…
I feel the @liberal_party and @NDP are doing a reasonable job of governing despite the negativity thrown. Some have suggested @CPC_HQ polling numbers are going up after the leadership vote, but thankfully, polls predicting seats don't reflect that. 338canada.com/
I am already seeing post from @pierrepoilievre supporters that if @JeanCharest_ wins the CPC leadership that the vote is rigged. Sounds so much like a Trump catch phrase. There is a claim that PP signed up over 300,000 new votes yet any new Charest voters must be imposters.
I identify as a Progressive Conservative. I bought a conservative membership so that I can support @JeanCharest_ as a hope the party can become a centralist party. However, the official party content I now get seem to be coming from a Canadian version of the Republican party.

Fun Fact:
Out of over 200 countries, Canada ranked #5 for freedom. This will come as a shock to those who are furious they had to wear a mask at Home Depot for awhile during a global pandemic.
