Congratulations @Ameet_Jogia 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Honoured to be selected again for Hendon. Last time it came down to 15 votes. This time I'll earn every one of them, fighting for the families, businesses and neighbours who make this place home. Let's make Hendon blue again @conservatives.

🚨 Labour has lost the trust of small businesses. Sadly, no surprise. They have been hammered – from the Jobs Tax to endless red tape. As Chancellor, I’ll back our risk-takers and job creators. We’ll scrap business rates for thousands of high street firms, repeal the job-killing measures in Angela Rayner’s Unemployment Act, replace Making Tax Difficult and cut energy costs. We are the only party with a serious plan to back our small businesses. xitter.cf/rcolvile/status/211140…
John Healey reportedly wants to help small businesses at the Budget. New polling by @OpiniumResearch for @CPSThinkTank shows they definitely need it! Opinium polled 500 SMEs bosses across the UK. Overwhelmingly, they felt govt wasn't on their side. But help do they need? (1/?)

Tonight, Conservative peers voted to regret the Government's plans to implement the ACAS Code of Practice on trade union activities which will only increase burdens on business, holding back the economy and killing jobs. The Conservatives will repeal Labour's job-killing legislation, backing British jobs and unlocking the growth we urgently need.

Thank you all for a most enjoyable lunch. And especially to @Winstamike for organising it
A pleasure to attend a Conservative fundraiser at Ashton Golf Club with Baroness Williams. Many thanks to Michael Winstanley for organising a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon in support of our party.

Last week I called Andy Burnham's speech consequential, but it was very much full, as Ed Davey said, full of 'definitely maybes' by 2040. @KemiBadenoch delivered a belter of a speech today, full of sparkle, but also setting out basic Conservative principles and full of policy meat. The IHT promise will get the headlines but there was far more to it than that. The stuff about the Reform "weirdos" and ruling our reuniting the right should get attention, plus the passage on her ethnicity and what it means to be English, where she absolutely socked it to Suella Braverman without naming her. The passage on how to bring about growth was especially strong. I've been attending party conferences for 40 years. This one got off to a slow start, but ended with the party members going home with a spring in their step. Rarely, if ever, in those 40 years, have I seen a party so united behind its leader - both MPs and party members. And to achieve that within less than two years of becoming leader is quite an achievement. Yes, last year's conference speech was a turning point, but so was her firing of Robert Jenrick. With one decisive step, she ripped out the cancer, and has never looked back. It's now up to her shadow cabinet to demonstrate that this isn't a one woman party.

One year on from the horrific attack at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue, we remember Melvin Cravitz and Adrian Daulby. A year later, too many British Jews still feel unsafe in their own country and continue to face vile antisemitic hatred. Britain cannot continue down this path. The Conservative Party will always stand with British Jews.

Labour are not cutting pensions, they are reforming the triple lock. Pensions will still rise every year, either at 2.5% or in line with inflation. Whichever is higher. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

It’s reheated old Labour socialism with Burnham. No plan to cut taxes. No plan to cut welfare. No plan to fund defence. The Labour faithful may have been cheering. The markets were watching, and they know Labour won’t confront the grim reality of Britain’s economic peril.
