La Quinta Cliff House restaurant- stunning location, built into the mountainside. Appetizers of scallops and octopus. Dinner was lobster tail and cioppino. Gorgeous setting .

Chocolate! Dark chocolate! This arrived and I had to taste it and it’s wonderfully rich, creamy. Will pair perfectly with wine! 🍷

2018 Beringer Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon- Marston Vineyard - fragrant nose, deep garnet color, dark fruits, nicely balanced tannins and long finish. 74 degrees today so we’re grilling beef tenderloin and lobster tails outside. Cheers 🍷

2021 La Magia Brunello di Montalcino - amazing wine, dark ruby red, lovely balance, aged in French oak; this is a beautiful wine. Serving with spicy sausage and tortellini. One of my favorite stops on the #RusticTuscanyTour Salute 🍷

I know! I just couldn’t wait, especially since I was making spicy sausage tortellini soup tonight! Besides, I did buy a case! So it’s part of my strategy to support local family wineries in Italy! 🇮🇹 🍷

This bottle of 2025 Poggio Stenti Vermentino was so refreshing after golf today! It was sunny, beautifully crisp at 55 degrees and the leaves are still red, orange, yellow. Enjoy the fall! Salute🍷

Tonight’s selection is a 2018 Casanova di Neri 100% Sangiovese single vineyard from Montalcino. Luscious dark fruits, floral notes, beautifully balanced tannins and acidity. Gorgeous wine, I’ll be serving veal cutlets Salute 🍷

Tonight’s selection is the 2022 50th Anniversary Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon. Sadly, we’re underwhelmed by it- kinda flat for what you would expect as a big Napa Cab. Nonetheless we’re having it with a classic pot roast. Cheers 🍷
