NEW: a column in the Times argues that the only way to tackle obesity is through fat shaming (yes, you read that right). It’s an astonishing argument to make, and unsurprisingly it falls to pieces under scrutiny. Let’s take a look, and see if we can do better:

Great work by @LizOSullivanPhD highlighting the need for increased breastfeeding supports in Ireland
Members of the Irish Women's Parliamentary Caucus met Catie Wilson, Deborah Byrne & Joni Karwig-Byrne & Dr Liz O'Sullivan from @BainneBeatha at the Launch of their Report on Breastfeeding Support in Ireland. Report✅bit.ly/3TCcEVh #SeeForYourself

Looking forward to presenting our report to the Women's Parliamentary Caucus with @BainneBeatha this afternoon. The findings of our national survey highlight that our health service is stretched & staffing needs to be addressed so HCPs have time to support breastfeeding mothers.
Today is when we will launch our new report "Breastfeeding support in Ireland" based on a study conducted with @WeAreTUDublin . We'll be sharing the findings with the Women's Parliamentary Caucus at 4pm.

This #WorldBreastfeedingWeek we are a house of Covid. Grateful I can give magic boob comfort to the wee man in the middle of the night! Second time BF was easier but I still needed an IBCLC and paid for TT release. These services should be available nationwide at no cost #WBW2022
Happy #WorldBreastfeedingWeek 2021. Ironically I don’t have an “outdoor dining” pic this year with the little man as we are down to a feed before bed. Feels like our journey is going to end naturally soon but it has been the most special time.🤱 🥰 #WBW2021 #ProtectBreastfeeding
