“Matthew, son, you can’t heal anybody. That’s My job.” Those words, spoken to our founder in ceremony, are the reason Sacred Warrior Fellowship is a church. About a year after his first ceremony, Matthew “Whiz” Buckley was taking veterans and first responders out of the country, because that was the only place a door was open to them. He called it medicine. He believed their healing was his job, and every one he couldn’t reach felt like his own failure. Then, on his knees in Costa Rica, God lovingly corrected him. That word changed what he called it. Medicine became sacrament. A mission to heal became a call to worship. Sacred Warrior Fellowship was founded on it. It’s why this church holds a line much of this space won’t: only God heals. Our Stewards walk beside people. They carry them when they have to. They walk them to the door. What happens on the other side belongs to that person and to God. Our Statement of Faith anchors healing in the words of a Roman centurion: “Speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.” Matthew 8:8. On Episode 22 of Return Home, our founder tells the whole story. He also speaks plainly about what spiritual awakening asks of a person: the old self falling away, and the weeks when the ground feels like it’s gone. He draws on Jung, Alan Watts and Rumi along the way. There are no gurus here. God is the guru. Link in the first comment. Return Home. @SuziNFH

What a weekend. What a life. What a blessing. 🙏❤️🏈 College football Saturdays just hit different when family is at the heart of it all. It was Parents’ Weekend in Colorado, so Matthew and Makaela stepped up and filled in for Mom and Dad, cheering on the Buffaloes with Oma and Pops as they kept it tight against Utah! 🦬💛🖤 Meanwhile, Suzi and I headed to Oxford for Delta Gamma Parents’ Weekend at Ole Miss, complete with incredible activities, a world-class tailgate, and a front-row seat to the Rebels putting an absolute BEATDOWN on Mizzou! 🔴🔵🏈 The SEC is a blender, Rebels are RISING, and they belong in the TOP FIVE! 🔥 Two campuses. Two football games. One incredible Saturday. These are the moments. These are the memories. This is the good stuff. Beyond blessed with this beautiful life, our amazing family, and every moment God gives us together. ✝️ Never take a single one of them for granted. Thank you, God. For all of it. 🙏❤️ SKO BUFFS! 🦬💛🖤 HOTTY TODDY! ❤️💙🦈 @asasparkles88 @SuziNFH

A mile behind an Iranian helicopter over the Persian Gulf. Master arm ARM. Sidewinder lock growling in my headset. One squeeze of the trigger and those two men are gone. Carrier three miles off the nose. I was vectored onto an unknown contact out of Bushehr, closing on the USS Abraham Lincoln. Bushehr is a dual-use field - airliners sharing a ramp with Iranian Air Force fighters & other military aircraft - so anything off it could be hostile. That’s what I was braced for. Low and slow. Not a fighter. I came down through the haze and found a large white civilian helicopter. Iranian flag on the fuselage. A big crate in the cargo bay. Two pilots, nobody else. Closing at over 500 knots on an aircraft doing 80. Everything out - throttles, boards, flaps. Slowest I could get was 150ish. I came up his starboard side. The pilot in the right seat turned, stared at and ignored me. I lit the afterburners and pulled up over him. A fully armed Hornet in close formation didn’t move him. Two warnings on the international distress frequency every aircraft monitors. Nothing. I told the ship. Two souls, Iranian flag, large container, direct course for the carrier. “Standby.” Next strike package was on the deck, armed and fueled. 5,000 sailors and Marines aboard. “Say intentions for Shield 11.” Silence. Then: “Shield 11, standby.” So I armed the jet. In my head: the USS Vincennes shooting down an Iranian airliner in these same waters, 290 dead. The USS Stark burning and listing. Two ways to be catastrophically wrong, in opposite directions. Nobody was coming. No JAG lawyer, no CO, no wingman. Just me. As pilot in command, I had the authority to employ that airplane as I saw fit. I was accountable to my fellow Americans. The responsibility was mine alone. And all of them, from my Commander-in-Chief to the youngest sailor aboard, were trusting me to get it right. Authority. Accountability. Responsibility. Trust. I call it AART, and I have never felt all four at once like I did in that cockpit. We were not technically at war with Iran - though they had been waging one against us for years. No intel of imminent attack. I put the master arm to SAFE. A mile out, the ship finally called. “Shield 11, escort the contact.” We flew directly over the flight deck. Nothing happened. It landed on an oil platform, two men with no idea how close they came. I could have fired. I’d have been inside my authority. I’d also have been wrong. Run that intercept today and I shoot him down. Same crate, same flag, same silence on the radio. Nothing in the cockpit would be different. Everything around it would be. Authority without the other three is just permission to do damage. Nobody on your team is going to arm a missile. But someone will face a call where the radio goes quiet and both answers are expensive. Teaching leaders to make that call is what I do. From the cockpit to the C-suite. Want your people ready? Link in the first comment. Fight’s On!

This is a photo of a self admitted war criminal. He destroyed civilian infrastructure targets, which by his own definition is a war crime. When will he face justice?
For 251 years, the U.S. Navy has been defending this country, its people, its values, and its promises. As a Navy combat veteran with 25 years of service, this day means a lot to me. To everyone who has served: fair winds and following seas.

I had just been hired by American Airlines. My first trip was scheduled for September 11, 2001. A week later I was furloughed. The airline career was gone, and with it our healthcare and my retirement. Everything except my family. Our son Matthew was a little over a year old. So I went to work. Five jobs in two years: - Navy Reserve pilot 'bum', paying the mortgage. - Real estate agent. - Defense contractor, testing F/A-18 simulators. - Corporate speaker and consultant. - And actor - a Disney movie, another feature film, Ford commercials, and a Captain D's Seafood spot. I can't stand fish. I worked enough to get SAG healthcare. My wife Suzi waitressed nights at Buca di Beppo. I'd bring Matthew in to eat the free family meal, then go home, put him to bed, and search for more work online. We barely saw each other for months. My sister Monica was killed at 19 by a drunk driver when she was a freshman at Villanova. We found out that she carried a Calvin Coolidge quote in her purse: "Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and Determination alone are omnipotent." Two years later I was Managing Director of Strategy at a multi-billion dollar equity options arbitrage firm in the Chicago Board of Trade. Then I founded and a media company that rivaled CNBC, while still flying fighters in the Reserve. Not because I was the smartest person in the room. Because I refused to quit. A competitor launches the product you were eight months from shipping. Your biggest client walks. The budget gets cut in the third quarter. The plan your team built its whole year around disappears overnight. How long do they stand still? And who gets them moving? Link in the first comment. Fight's On! @SuziNFH

I spent yesterday at AUSA with @LockheedMartin, where more than 40k industry leaders & businessmen gathered to unveil their latest innovations to protect our troops & homeland. With warfare changing so rapidly, the DOW has challenged the defense industry to innovate with more urgency. LM has responded to that by kicking into overdrive. & they invited me to the unveiling of their new interceptor that will fly further, faster & higher. “We're going to make sure that the adversaries have nowhere to hide," Tim Cahill of LM told booth visitors. "It doesn't matter what they do. It doesn't matter what they try. This missile is going to take them out." #Lockheed_Martin_Partner

"Fury"? By who? Oh... the 'no one is above the law' crowd who doesn't like that it applies to them too. The 'fury' in reality is from regular Americans who wonder why it has taken years for this criminal to a face justice. She's obviously innocent until proven guilty, a standard they don't apply to others, but if proven she broke the law she needs to be on the next plane home. yahoo.com/news/us/articles/f…

For more than five years, my beautiful bride and I have been on the front lines in the fight to heal our heroes at home. I know this fight from the inside. Childhood trauma. Military loss. Addiction. Closed doors. Dark nights of the soul. I’ve lost 16 fellow aviators. I’ve lost four F/A-18 brothers to suicide, including my best friend, who was a groomsman in our wedding. After 15 years of service and flying fighters off aircraft carriers, I was told a lot of what I was carrying was “not service related.” I was a veteran outside the VA system. By the grace of God, and with my bride beside me, I climbed out. I did not do it alone. Now it’s time to put the ladder down for the ones still in the fight. That is why Suzi and I built the No Fallen Heroes Foundation. Last year we applied for the VA’s Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant. Denied. I went digging for the reason, and it was on me. I had submitted our budget on the wrong template. Years of work, sunk by a spreadsheet. We didn’t quit. We went back to work and rebuilt the whole thing. 34 pages. Two weeks of building, right down to the last hour. This year - approved. $750,000 to reach veterans and their families at risk of suicide across Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties. One of 191 organizations in the country. This grant was built to reach veterans outside the VA system. VA’s own data shows why: 61% of veterans who died by suicide in 2023 were not receiving VA health care in the year before their death. That’s the bureaucratic wilderness I was lost in. This one is for my brothers. And for Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox, whose name this program carries. Now we go find the ones nobody else is reaching. If you’re a veteran in crisis, or you love one: Dial 988 then Press 1, or text 838255. Or reach out to me directly. Healing is possible. There is a way through, I promise you. Fight’s On. — @NoFallenHeroes @SuziNFH #nofallenheroes #SSGFoxGrant #suicideprevention #veterans #nofallenheroesfoundation

Twenty-five years ago, 19 men with box cutters turned four airliners into weapons and killed nearly 3,000 Americans before lunch. They used what they could get their hands on. They won't do that again. So ask the obvious question: what does that same hostile intent do with what's available now? Ballistic missiles. Hypersonics that close in minutes. Swarms of cheap drones. Cyber against the grid and the water. We don't have to imagine it. Iran is running the demo in real time. The lesson of 9/11 was that the oceans stopped being a moat. Every year since, the weapons have gotten faster and cheaper, and the distance between "somewhere over there" and Main Street has kept shrinking. That's the case for Golden Dome - layered defense over the homeland, built by Americans for a threat that arrives in minutes. Call it what it is: an investment in our security and in the country our kids inherit. And the money already exists. We fund "quality learning centers", programs rife with fraud, NGOs pumping money overseas into countries that hate us. Recover a slice of that waste and the homeland gets a shield it greatly needs. Build it. Fight's On! __ Read WSJ op ed below. Paid partnership.

Awesome parents (and grandparents) weekend at Ole Miss. Jack and Abby made the trip over from Colorado 🦬 Saw some old friends from YOSO 🌶️ here for the cheer clinic. Buffs got the win, so I swapped my shirt for Ole Miss - and the Rebels delivered too. Good day to be wearing both. Only thing missing was our boy Matthew, deployed with the Air Force. Proud of you, son 🇺🇸 Back for Georgia. Miss you already, Keeley Grace 💙❤️ Hotty Toddy! @SuziNFH
