We started cleaning our water and waterborne disease (e.g. cholera, typhoid) basically disappeared from the West.
We can do the same thing for air.

Half of Chicago’s school board candidates want a three year ban on AI while most CPS students still aren’t reading at grade level
43% proficient in reading. 27% in math
We should be inventing new ways to use AI to personalize education with critical thinking at the center. Not teaching kids to fear it
A ban is not a plan

Illinois holds $100M in State of Israel bonds. I asked the Treasurer's office, under FOIA, for the memos and due diligence behind the position. The office's answer, in writing: no records exist. The full file is now public.

Point #1, “stop asking to pick people’s brains,” is especially salient if you’re asking people who sell pickings of their brains as their product
Then it goes from aimless to insulting
It’s like cold emailing someone at Apple and asking them to send you a free MacBook
“Hey, I have a need for your product and would love for you to give that to me, a total stranger, for free. Thanks!”

Student activists are facing a new era of discipline. From year-long suspensions to physical risks, the stakes for campus organizing have reached a breaking point. We’re hearing firsthand accounts of "unprecedented repression" at Columbia and beyond. GrayStak Media is on the ground covering the front lines of these social movements.

Mr. President @POTUS , you said weapons have been sent to the Iranian people through intermediary groups, but that those groups kept the weapons for themselves.
Meanwhile, the IRGC, some journalists, and anti-Kurd actors aligned with Reza Pahlavi are targeting Kurds with coordinated narratives, collectively blaming and stigmatizing them in ways that echo patterns seen in Antisemitism.
So the question is: Who is actually supposed to receive these weapons? Are there organized groups inside Iran meant to do so?
If the U.S. can control Iranian airspace and conduct rescue operations, why is it impossible to directly support groups inside Iran that are ready to fight, without intermediaries?
Kurds are ready to confront the regime, but their concern is clear: the war may end, and once again they will be left alone by the United States, as has happened repeatedly in their history. Thank you for your attention.

Political risk isn't just a forecasting issue; it's a speed issue.
The time lag between when escalation begins and when markets recognize what's happening is measurable, consistent, and tradable.
That's the gap most frameworks fail to address.

#IranWar

This clearly highlights the inconsistency in Khamenei’s fatwa and rhetoric on Iran’s nuclear and missile programs. Tehran has long claimed a 2,000 km missile cap set by the Supreme Leader, but its attempted strike on Diego Garcia, over 4,000 km away, suggests otherwise. #IranWar

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
