Today is the National Day for the Victims of Communism. Communism killed more than 100 million people in the 20th century.
This memorial, The Memorial to the Victims of Communism in Prague, powerfully captures what communism does to the human person.

The big problem in American politics is that voters expect the government to solve their problems. Our country was founded on the principle that the people should be left alone to solve their own problems. When government is empowered to solve problems, it creates them instead.

I love Puerto Rico. Itβs a great island. But what exactly can the FDNY learn from the Puerto Rico Fire Department that it canβt learn here?
Iβm sorry, but I donβt believe New York taxpayers should be footing the bill for political junkets.

You can expect to see a lot more of this. When no one is held accountable, there is no incentive to do the right thing. And every incentive for the corrupt to keep doing what they do beast: lie, cheat & steal.
#News Abu Ahmed Musa was sworn in as acting mayor of Hamtramck, Michigan, even though he was caught on video stuffing absentee ballots into a dropbox, who can barely speak English.
Musa, who was already serving as mayor pro tem, was sworn in to fill a temporary vacancy created by the removal of Adam Alharbi while the city prepares to install Muhith Mahmood, who won after 37 previously uncounted absentee ballots were counted.
Surveillance from city hall was released after FOIA requests. It captured multiple incidents in the days before the August 5, 2025, primary:
On August 1, 2025, a vehicle pulled up to the drop box.
Musa was in the passenger seat and handed bundles of ballots to the driver, who deposited them.
A separate late-night clip showed a black pickup with Musa in the back seat while the driver forced stacks into the box, looking around repeatedly.
Musa finished first in that primary with 1,129 votes.
Of those, 843 came from absentee ballots and 286 from Election Day.
Michigan State Police confirmed the footage was part of their investigation; however, no charges have been filed against him.
Two other council members, Mohammed Hassan and Muhtasin Sadman, were charged with forgery and related election offenses tied to the 2023 race involving unvoted absentee ballots signed by recently naturalized citizens.
A private investigator hired by the city reported that Musa lives in Warren with his wife and children while claiming a Hamtramck address.
Fights over ballots, residency, and control have consumed more than a year of litigation and investigations in Hamtramck, which is a M*slim majority city with an all M*slim city council and M*slim mayor.
How long should a city keep an official in power who was caught stuffing ballots before an election he won - on absentee votes - and allegedly does not even live there?

Ask a communist what they hate about capitalism, and they'll point to central planning they dislike.
Ask what they love about communism, and they'll describe central planning they approve of.
Their objection is to who's making the decisions, not to the power to impose them.

Socialists want the prosperity, abundance, innovation, rising wages, and higher living standards that capitalism makes possible, while demanding the abolition of the very incentives, property rights, and freedoms that produce them.
They want the fruits while destroying the roots.

Itβs interesting to observe that the secular and celebrated French Revolution killed more in 10 years than the religious and infamous Spanish Inquisition did in 356 years by a ratio of about 75:1.

Socialism systematically undermines the incentive to try, produce, innovate, and excel by weakening the connection between effort and reward.
The more you contribute, the more you're expected to sacrifice. The less you contribute, the more you're entitled to demand.
When a system penalizes success and subsidizes failure, economic stagnation is a predictable consequence of its incentives.

It's appalling that the victory of one party or another means that a private citizen and his businesses, none of which have been accused of breaking the law, would suddenly be targeted by the government. That's pure Third World and should outrage everyone. latimes.com/business/story/2β¦
