Reuters: Hezbollah has spent the past 3 months preparing for renewed hostilities with Israel after receiving fresh funding from Iran.
The group has used the lull since June to rearm, produce attack drones and rebuild its command-and-control structures.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know

“My heart hurts. They (Islamic Republic) always kill a bunch of young people and nothing ever happens.”
It was one of Sara Behboudi’s last messages.
Not long after writing it, Sara herself was shot by the Islamic Republic forces.
The bullet struck her abdomen.
She had been helping an injured girl near the IRIB building in Rasht. Sara was taken to Poursina Hospital.
Her husband kept calling her from around 10 pm She stopped answering. Eventually the hospital called him. When he arrived at around 1 am, they told him Sara was in surgery.
At around 4 in the morning, they told him she was dead.
Sara Behboudi was 45 years old.
Earlier that same night, at around 9:30 pm, Sara had called her father. Looking at how many people had come into the streets, she told him:
“This is the final battle. Either we win or we die. But don’t worry, I’m strong. Nothing will happen to me.”
She also spoke briefly to her husband, telling him the crowd was moving forward.
Those were some of the last conversations her family ever had with her.
But Sara’s story didn’t begin that night.
“Everything I have achieved in my life is because of the battles I fought for it; I know of no other way.”
She was a brave and unbelievably hardworking woman who had spent around 18 years mountaineering professionally.
She loved nature.
She loved animals.
People close to her remembered her as deeply sociable and humble, the kind of person you could sit with for hours and never get tired of talking to.
Sara was also known among climbers as a mountain doctor. According to people who knew her, over the years she had helped save the lives of injured mountaineers more than once.
She was a woman who had spent years helping people survive in the mountains was last seen trying to help another injured person in the street.
Sara had climbed for nearly two decades. Old records from the Arka Mountaineering Group identify her as the head of its women’s section, and document her climbs of Damavand and Sabalan. Other reports record her ascents of Kamal, 3,700 metres, and Shah Moallem, 3,050 metres.
She knew how to keep going when conditions became dangerous.
And she knew how to help someone else when they couldn’t keep going on their own.
Even after she died, her family could not take her home.
First they were told they couldn’t receive her body because it was Friday.
Then they were told the Security Council had to be informed.
Then they were told Sara’s body wasn’t even at the hospital anymore.
At another point they were told she was in the Bagh-e Rezvan morgue.
Days passed.
Finally, late on 14th of January, after signing undertakings, her body was released.
At around 11 pm, a private ambulance took Sara back to Sidasht.
Her own family washed her body.
At around 2 in the morning, they buried her in the village cemetery.
She should have had years more of climbs, rescues, conversations, time with her husband and daughter, and days in the nature she loved.
But Islamic Republic took all that away from her and her loved ones.
