If I were Michael Carrick, I’d walk into training with my coaching staff and make one thing crystal clear: we’re starting from scratch. Nobody is guaranteed a place in the starting XI, regardless of reputation, wages or past achievements. Only those willing to run, fight and give everything for the badge deserve to play.
