I was writing long-form posts about depression, the trials of life, science, technology, and where humanity is headed. Then X indefinitely suspended me for “inauthentic behavior.” Maybe the town square isn’t as open as advertised.

Imagine spending 3+ years building a space/science page on this platform, reaching 5,000 followers, and creating an archive of work you care about. Then your account gets suspended, and you’re left without a specific explanation of what you did wrong. That happened to me. My account was @HardwireMedia. I posted science and space content, wrote my own replies, and spent years participating in tens of thousands of conversations. X cited its “Authenticity” policy. I appealed, but I still haven’t received the specific explanation or meaningful resolution I’ve been asking for. I’m now trying to build again on Symplectic. But again multiple times, I've been blocked from replying to ANYONE for a week or more. I’ve also experienced drops in reach that I can’t get a clear explanation for. I don’t know what triggers these restrictions, and that uncertainty is part of the problem. When @Grok tells me X doesn’t shadowban, that doesn’t resolve my experience. Calling something “reply filtering” doesn’t answer the questions creators actually have: Are my replies being hidden? Why? What did I do wrong, and how can I challenge that decision? I pay for Premium, and I still haven’t been able to get the human support I need to resolve this. I’m not asking for guaranteed views or immunity from moderation. I’m asking to be shown the conduct that supposedly violated a rule and given a meaningful opportunity to respond. Being a creator is already unstable. When years of work and audience relationships can become inaccessible with no clear path to resolution, it becomes much harder to justify investing another three years. Established public figures can bring an audience with them. Emerging creators are trying to build one here. If our accounts and ability to participate remain this uncertain, how are we supposed to grow? I want X to live up to its promise of free speech. A platform that presents itself as the global town square should offer transparent enforcement and accessible appeals, including for people who aren’t already famous. Behind a small account is still a real person, real work, and years they cannot get back. And this is my story..

This meme aged interestingly. We were told AI would build software on unstable foundations. Now AI-assisted researchers are exposing critical flaws in PHP, part of the foundation we were already standing on. Maybe “human-written” was never the security guarantee.
OpenAI models helped researchers—operating as part of our Patch the Planet initiative—discover critical security flaws in PHP, an open-source programming language used to run an estimated 70% of websites. Over the past two months, we led a coalition of maintainers, researchers, and security providers to prepare fixes and protections ahead of disclosure. This duration was necessary because the fix was quite intricate and required a major change to the PHP engine. Every site using PHP can now safely upgrade their version to stay secure, in addition to applying mitigations from various security vendors. Due to the severity of these flaws and PHP’s widespread use, we consider this bug to be one of the most impactful vulnerabilities in recent memory. It also marks a new phase, where AI can find security bugs with internet-scale impact. This is an example of the Defender’s Window in action: to our knowledge, frontier AI was able to find this vulnerability ahead of attackers, giving defenders time to prepare. openai.com/index/coordinated…

Wiz Research wasn't the first one to discover the exploit. An independent researcher first discovered it: x.com/calif_io/statu…

JWST just weighed a black hole from 470 million years after the Big Bang. MoM-BL-z10, at redshift 9.98, is the most distant broad-line active galaxy ever found. Its hydrogen line is smeared to 3,480 km/s by orbiting gas, giving roughly 36 million solar masses, a first at this distance. It should not have had time to grow that big without exotic seeds or overfeeding. Paper: arxiv.org/abs/2610.28735 Swipe through: the full spectrum, the smeared line, and Webb's first deep field.

Only certain digital assets are truly scarce.
Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10. Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years. Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.

A cosmic treble clef. 🎼 Released October 14, 2026, this image combines X-rays from Chandra and eROSITA (blue), radio from LOFAR (pink), and infrared from UKIRT (white). Astronomers think a supermassive black hole first blasted out clouds of charged particles. A later collision between two galaxy clusters compressed and reenergized that fading material, making it glow in radio waves again.

A telescope built to map dark matter just found a comet nobody knew existed. ESA's Euclid caught C/2026 S1 streaking through its images in September, 1.3 billion km away, arching above the plane of the planets. A PhD student's software flagged the streak, and its fuzzy glow means the comet is already active. Source: esa.int/Science_Exploration/… Swipe through: the deep field with the comet marked, the coma up close, the streak itself.

Imagine looking out a spacecraft window and seeing the far side of the Moon and Earth simultaneously. I came across this incredible shot from Artemis II showing just how much brighter Earth is than the lunar surface, reflecting roughly three times as much sunlight. Without artificially reducing Earth’s brightness, our planet appears as a brilliant white crescent against the detailed lunar landscape.

Scientists just reconstructed one of the most intense solar radiation storms of this cycle and named it the MLK Event. On Jan 18, 2026, an X1.9 flare and fast CME from AR 4341 hit Earth, driving a severe G4 storm. Solar Orbiter and Wind data plus MHD simulations traced it Sun to Earth: the Sun's magnetic layout set its fury, the solar wind set the long recovery. Paper: arxiv.org/abs/2610.23704 Swipe: the halo CME, auroras over Europe from the ISS, the solar disk with AR 4341 marked.

Every road leads back to SPX6900 if I’m being so real with you all. And they are also some of my biggest supporters.
So many people are going to get one-shotted by super persuasive super intelligences and I might be one of them

Day 3. Not only am I unable to reply to anyone on X, I’ve also had a temporary reach label put on my account. Every time I put hard work and dedication into this platform they strip it all away from me without explanation. I’m just advocating for some decency here. Does anybody really believe real creators will ever emerge from X if this is how they treat people? Humans need consistency and stability. Creators are not going to invest in this platform if you keep proving time and time again you’ll take away hard years of community building in the blink of an eye without explanation or the ability to even talk to a real human. It’s quite embarrassing. Already famous people dominate X for this reason. Few organic creators. Definitely not going to see an X-type Mr Beast without removal of “reply filtering” and addition of decent support system.
Day 2 of being shadowbanned from replying because X is a cyber-socialist dictatorship posing as the self-proclaimed digital town square.

@grok reply filtering is a sophisticated way to say I’m shadow banned platform-wide from replying to anyone but myself. Dimwits.

SpaceX is about to attempt something never done before: catching Starship's upper stage out of the sky with the launch tower's arms. Flight 15 targets November (NET Nov 8, Musk guessing before Thanksgiving). If the catch works, it's the first full recovery of an orbital-class rocket. He's giving it 50-60% odds. Swipe: the booster catch they're trying to repeat, the ship on the stack, the pad at Starbase.

Mars just got its first soil map. PhD student Daniel Irving at the University of Sydney classified nearly 800 million locations into 2,000 soil types covering 92% of the planet, and gave Martian dirt a new name: areths, from Ares. The top farming candidate, a class called Nohibareth with a near-neutral pH of 6.8, scored 0.93 out of 1 for growing plants. Announced Oct 16, paper in CATENA. doi.org/10.1016/j.catena.202… Swipe through: the mapper, the soil, the planet.
