Nuclear icebreaker Yamal has escorted a module of LNG plant travelling from China to Murmansk along the Northern Sea Route. Yamal picked Audax vessel in Bering Sea and escorted it to Barents Sea north of Novaya Zemlya.

Andreev Bay. Reservoirs 2A,2B,3A were hastily rebuilt into dry storage and filled with naval spent fuel in 80's. Nowadays fuel from 2A,2B is being removed and sent to Mayak for reprocessing.
