A new paper by SARN member, Dr @OudaiTozan, on the complexity of home in exile, published in the Journal of Refugee Studies. In this paper, Oudai delves into the ambivalence of exiles and highlights 4 dilemmas they encounter. To read: doi.org/10.1093/jrs/feaf002
Dr @AzzamAlkassir 2024 paper in British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies examines the theory of Radical Flank Effects through al-Nusra Front's shift between 'moderation' & 'radicalism' (2012-2017).
He argues that moderation can be a strategic tool for militant groups.

Even with recent hope in Syria, the question: 'how can we improve education in refugee camps?' remains relevant to Syria and other contexts.
