Meet one of our partner organisations- At Tackling Minds, one of our most significant challenges is the continuity of our projects. While we are effective in engaging participants and significantly improving their mental health through our fishing sessions, the end of a project can threaten these gains. Our initial success in drawing individuals out to the bank is the beginning of a life-transforming journey. It’s here that we capture their attention and engage them in the therapeutic benefits of fishing, integrating them into a supportive community. Participants start to experience a change in their routines and overall wellbeing, creating a sense of belonging and improvement in their mental health. However, the end of these structured sessions presents a dilemma. The absence of ongoing support and the discontinuation of our projects pose a risk of individuals reverting to previous habits, potentially undoing the progress in their mental health journey. This video shows the critical need for strategies that ensure the longevity and sustainability of our projects. Our aim is to maintain the positive momentum generated by our sessions, continuing to provide a supportive environment for mental wellbeing.
