The gospel is subversive, even in polarized times. Leading is a challenge right now, but there is also a massive opportunity for the light of Christ to break through darkness.

This four-week cohort will provide an overview of AI-related human-interfacing technologies. We will address the potential consequences of embracing artificial intelligence, robotics, and cybernetics (the merging of the human and the machine) and the technologies related to them. We will also look at how the motivations and desires of transhumanists are related to the goals and design of these emerging technologies. Importantly, we will evaluate human-interfacing and human-enhancing technologies from an evangelical Christian perspective.

The Gospel of John cuts across the grain of secular culture in much the same way as it entered into the ancient world—as a text that sets out a striking claim about the presence of the invisible God in the material world.

The Gospel of John speaks as narrative reasoning tailored for those inclined to regard the act of directing worship to a human being as absurd.
Join us @TEDS on next Monday, April 7, for our event with Dr. Steven Bryan. Available in person or online.

"But letting a robot structure your argument, or flatten your style by removing the quirky elements, is dangerous. It’s a streamlined way to flatten the human mind, to homogenize human thought. We know who we are, at least in part, by finding the words — messy, imprecise, unexpected — to tell others, and ourselves, how we see the world. The world which no one else sees in exactly that way."

Dive into the transformative power of the gospel as we explore its profound influence on bridging the chasms within our polarized society. In this session, David W. Pao, Dean of TEDS, and Bill Riedel, EFCA Board Chair, will explore how the biblical authors subverted the ideologies of their time and how we can learn from them as we seek to be faithful in proclaiming the good news in our contexts. Join us as we experience the power of God's Word anew. Hosted by @TEDS. tgc.org/tgc25

Vanhoozer's Mere Christian Hermeneutics wins the TGC book awards in the Biblical Studies category. 🥇
This could be my favorite Vanhoozer book to date.
Runner up is the Lexham Geographic Commentary on the Pentateuch. 🥈
I love this series, and this volume in particular is outstanding.
