Gerrard won MOTM up against a midfield of Gattuso, Seedorf, Pirlo and Kaka in a Champions League Final.
Rice couldn’t conquer Neves, Vitinha and Ruiz and hasn’t really ever laid a glove on Rodri either.
There’s levels to this game.
Declan Rice already has the Premier League medal Steven Gerrard never won. 🏆

To be playing that style of football at 35 is quite impressive
😮💨 At 35, Virgil van Dijk is being asked to defend 50 yards of space in Andoni Iraola's high-pressing system.
👇 While his recovery pace is fading, the data reveals that the Dutchman is quietly reinventing his game to survive at the elite level.

The only teams he’s lost against in the Premier League are Man City and Arsenal (both under very controversial circumstances with the officiating)
And Liverpool have only won 1 of 9 games away in Turkey across their whole history.
Nobody’s hitting the panic button in Liverpool
Liverpool has suffered another defeat to Fenerbahçe, making it back-to-back losses for Andoni Iraola.
I've said it before that after Michael Carrick, Iraola would be the next manager sacked by a big six club in the Premier League.
I'm starting to think I might be right. Liverpool are already looking like a club heading towards another managerial crisis, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Iraola's time there ends much sooner than people expect. Another big club, another manager who might find out the hard way that the job is bigger than he thought.
World class.

All 4 goals Liverpool have conceded this week were totally preventable.
Crazy individual errors. Allison too often at the scene of the crime.
Martin for United!
🚨🚨| Manchester United director of football Jason Wilcox reportedly viewed 𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐋 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐍 as a potential future manager of the club! 😳🔴
Before the 2024 FA Cup final, Wilcox spoke highly of Martin as United considered replacements for Erik ten Hag.
Wilcox had previously appointed Martin at Southampton, where he secured Premier League promotion.
However, Wilcox recognised that Martin was 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐘 for the United job at the time, but believed the club should monitor his development.

Really interesting with the media hyperfocused on a ‘shirt pull’ which in real time clearly doesn’t effect any outcome but choose to ignore a very clear red card situation in the first 10 minutes! Tale as old as time with Arsenal, no one likes a winning team!
Hmm…

6. Arsenal vs Liverpool:
Havertz scores the winning goal and the ref intentionally blows the whistle just before the ball goes in the net, resulting in VAR being unable to review. No clear and obvious error.
2 points dropped
Interesting…

Who are you deceiving Virgil!!
Nyoni should've gotten 2 yellow cards and been sent off within 10 minutes. First one against Odeggart, and the second against Havertz.
End of discussion.
