Being ungrateful, entitled, and calling someone's genuine efforts the bare minimum is the easiest way to lose a good person. You'll quickly realize that what you called the bare minimum was actually everything they had to give.

A statement autistic people like me can also relate to in this day and age.

I wonder how stupid I must have looked being so genuinely happy with people who were playing in my face. Laughing with them, trusting them, making memories and thinking I had something real with people who knew things weren’t what they seemed. But then I remind myself that I wasn’t stupid for being happy. I was happy because my intentions were genuine. I trusted because I would never intentionally make someone look foolish for believing in me. I loved people with an honest heart and I gave them the benefit of the doubt because that’s how I would have wanted to be treated. There’s a difference between being foolish and being sincere with people who weren’t sincere with you. I can regret who I trusted without regretting the person I was when I trusted them. I wasn’t stupid for being happy. I was simply being genuine with people who didn’t deserve the version of me they got to experience. And I refuse to let their dishonesty make me ashamed of the happiness I felt when I thought it was real.

People who hurt you and act like you hurt them are a different kind of toxic.

the hardest person to give up on is the one who showed you exactly what you wanted before they started acting different.

if i treated you the same way you've treated me, you'd probably hate me for it. you'd feel the same hurt, disappointment, and confusion that i've had to deal with, and maybe then you'd understand how your actions have made me feel. it's easy to overlook someone's feelings when you're not the one getting hurt, but i wish you'd put yourself in my shoes for once. i'm not asking for perfection; i just want the same love, care, and consideration that i try to give you. because honestly, you shouldn't have to experience the pain you cause someone else before you learn to treat their heart with care.

Nowadays, whenever I listen to Pink Floyd’s Us and Them, I tend to think of it as if it’s describing us versus the psycho malignant narcissists. Good versus evil. Does anyone else think of it that way?

Watching someone move on so quickly after discarding you is a humbling kind of pain. seeing how easily they let you go, carry on with their life, and find happiness with someone new makes you question whether what you shared ever meant as much to them as it did to you. it’s hard to understand how someone can walk away knowing the hurt they caused and seemingly never stop to think about the pain they left behind. but sometimes, seeing how someone treats you is all the clarity you need to finally see them for who they are and start letting go.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: Y'all say gaming is a waste of time but sit in front of the TV all day watching reruns. It's called a hobby 👀🎮

This. It's funny seeing the normal folks call gaming a "waste of time" when these same "normals" waste time religiously watching a pro sport and/or idolizing/bootlicking the Kardashians.

Often times it seems this way. I don't gel very well with other autistic people who hate video games, are politically opposite of me, or otherwise bully & demonize people like me who want more support, inclusion, love & acceptance for autistic people.
do you ever start talking to someone and realize you have noticeably incompatible autisms

Thrown to the wolves autism where everyone knows you’re probably autistic but they don’t do anything about it because you can still function so you just have to live in social isolation and have no support in anything and also you’re a laughing stock for being weird (it’s autism)
I have “I was thrown go the wolves” autism & i usually clash with “My family got me treatment and safety nets” autism because they think im not autistic cus i can dress

Totally agree. If people claiming to be autistic are able to find & hold down jobs & have their life together, good for them. But that doesn't give them the right to punch down on other autistics who struggle & can't function in the same areas. #ActuallyAutistic #AutismAcceptance
i HATE the trend on here of lesser needs autistic people who have jobs and/or social life living space etc are hateful towards higher needs autistics who get help for their needs because they think the only reason the person is higher needs is because they get help

“I don’t care how disabled you are you should stop being disabled because it’s inconvenient”
I really don't care about how autistic someone is they should really need to learn how to get over certain things that make them that uncomfortable. I had to do it and you can do it too.
