A quote is not the same thing as coverage. So what happens in between? Mike breaks down one of those insurance terms you’ve probably heard but may never have had explained: binding coverage. It’s a simple step, but an important one to understand when purchasing legal malpractice insurance. If you have any questions, our team is always here to help.

A little Halloween fun for a great cause. The TLI team had a great time volunteering at the Austin Bar Association’s Fall Festival, helping support an event that raises funds for pro bono legal services for those in need. We’re grateful for opportunities like this to step outside the office, spend time with our legal community, and support work that helps make access to legal services possible for more of our neighbors. Thank you to the Austin Bar Association for letting us be part of such a fun and meaningful event!

Generative AI can make discovery review more efficient, but it also creates new risks around compliance with court protective orders. Uploading discovery to an AI tool could violate the order's terms. Attorneys should also be concerned about whether opposing counsel is using an AI tool with the client's confidential information. The best time to establish the rules is before confidential discovery begins, not after a disclosure creates a problem. In this video, Carrie shares three things attorneys should consider before using AI in discovery. AI can be a powerful tool. Use it with a plan.
