Believing your side has a monopoly on the correct responses to every policy debate is intellectually dishonest.
Try to think of issues that you may cross the aisle on. And then challenge your politicians to improve. Make them work for your vote instead of pledging full support.
Being conservative or progressive on every single issue is intellectually lazy & unfaithful. Critique and push back on these flawed ideologies.
Make conservatism sympathize & pursue racial justice.
Make progressivism acknowledge absolute truth & the sanctity of life. #AND2020

An early mentor said this to me:
"Ty, you give sports & Netflix 25 hours a week & GOD gets one.......... and you claim God is the foundation of your life?
Either fix your priorities or stop lying to yourself & admit God works when He's convenient FOR YOU but not the foundation."
Hit me hard. I hated hearing it at the time. But it changed my life.
You may hate to hear this but it's true.
So many people have made politics their religion.
How many hours did you read the Bible this week VS how many hours did you watch/scroll political coverage?
How many hours did you argue politics online VS hours you met in community with your brothers & sisters in Christ & prayed together?
How many hours will you complain about the other side VS how many hours will you pray for them?!
(I AM MORE GUILTY OF THIS THAN ANYONE).
It isn't a golden calf people worship in 2026, it's a donkey or elephant.
That's something not many preachers have the COURAGE to say today but many know it's true.
If you're a Christ follower you are in this world but not of it.
“My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting….....
But my kingdom is not from the world.”
-John 18:36
Study Jesus.
So much of His ministry was His followers & those around Him begging Him to take power, be political, & get engaged with the current things.....
As I study Jesus it seemed He was mostly frustrated with this & pleaded with them to seek the eternal over the current political climate.
*I do also believe God calls some to be in politics, if that's you seek Christ first & honor Him as you do.
*Vote. I do. Affect the outcome 0.000001%. That's how much you can control it.
99% of people simply waste time, energy, & lack faith because the circus of politics CONSUMES them & I love you enough to tell you a hard truth hoping you, like me, search within.
-Swap scrolling for the BIBLE.
-Swap arguing politics for prayer.
-Swap nightly news with a sermon.
Invite God into your life more than 1 hour a week & tell me you won't see miracles!!

If the @GOP had followed the lead of Ron DeSantis from July of 2020 on, the country and the Republican Party would be MUCH better off…
😡🤦♂️🤮🥲
We could have had Ron Desantis.
Now the GOP gets to lay in the bed it made.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis:
Some of these Republicans are saying, "Oh, well, the gas, don't worry. It's no big deal." Or they're trying to blame Biden.
No, no. Listen, we've just got to be honest. Gas is higher. It hurts people, working-class people, and it's higher because of the Iran conflict.
That's just the fact. If you can't admit that to voters, then you're gaslighting them, and they're not going to listen to you on other things.

Every year on or right before 9/11, we show this video to our students. It’s not only powerful story-telling, it’s a reminder to a younger generation about how life altering 9/11 was for those of us who lived it. It’s only 10 min #themanintheredbandana
The cause of the gender gap isn’t due to radicalization on the male side.
Maybe we should be asking what is going on with women that they are moving to such a far left, toxic mentality.
One may even call it… toxic feminism.
When people ask how young men were radicalised, it's worth considering the idea that they weren't and we're just not good at recognising liberal pathologies.

Toxic feminism at it again.

This was such a beautiful and profound moment on @RealMattFradd's podcast, Pints with Aquinas.
When Matt Fradd asked Dr. Peter Kreeft what advice he would give newly married couples, his answer gave me chills.
Every husband and wife and anyone who feels called to marriage should hear this.

Individual autonomy is the Golden Calf of our secular, materialist, individualistic society.
The Right (both libertarian and MAGA) has its flavors of disordered individualism.
For the Left, it’s an anti-family feminism.

The reason Talarico is compelling is because he speaks half-truth. So for those who do not know their Bibles, it sounds credible.
But this guy is a heretic, inviting Christians to affirm clear violations of God’s commandments in the name of “love.”
You can love a transgender person without “affirming” their sin or mental illness. You can love a pregnant mother and feel compassion for her without cheering her on while she murders a God-created human being.
Talarico is the definition of a wolf in sheep’s clothing leading sheep to slaughter. Stay prayed up and in your Bible and people like this will not deceive you.
.@JamesTalarico: For 50 years, the religious right convinced our fellow Christians that the most important issues were abortion and gay marriage—two issues that aren't mentioned in the Bible.
Jesus tells us exactly how we're going to be judged: by feeding the hungry, by healing the sick, and by welcoming the stranger.
Don’t tell me what you believe. Show me how you treat other people, and I’ll tell you what you believe. Jesus gave us two commandments: love God and love neighbor.
There was no exception to that second commandment regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, immigration status, or religious affiliation.

A man who makes himself look like this is extremely antisocial. Never forget it. He doesn't care about anyone else's discomfort. In fact, he enjoys it. These are not poor oppressed women stuck in men's bodies. These are psychopaths.

2012 is the year parents started giving teens smart phones.
Teen hangouts dropped off a cliff after 2012. Those teens are now adults in their late 20s and 30s wondering why they have no close friends.

Also, a montage of LA’s homeless problem will be devastating to Gavin Newsom’s presidential campaign if he makes it out of the 2028 primaries.
'LOSING POLITICAL STRATEGY': Former President Obama slammed the homelessness crisis in Los Angeles as an "atrocity" given the billion of dollars elected officials have thrown at the problem over the years.
"We should recognize that the average person doesn't want to have to navigate around a tent city in the middle of downtown," he added.
