The BJP’s minions are utterly frustrated. Their biggest question is how I can politically take on the BJP so fiercely and still remain a free citizen ?😅 We have reached a point where criticising the BJP is treated almost like blasphemy. The very fact that someone can openly challenge the BJP and still not be behind bars has become a matter of astonishment. That is how distorted our political discourse has become. What should be perfectly normal in a democracy is now seen as an extraordinary act of defiance. This is the dangerous new normal. The BJP does not merely want a weak opposition. It wants an opposition without a voice, without a spine and without the courage to challenge those in power. In Bengal, its ambition is even more brazen: AN OPPOSITION FREE POLITICAL LANDSCAPE! But the BJP must understand one thing. Dissent is not a crime. Challenging those in power is not blasphemy. And democracy is not the private property of the ruling party. I will not shy away from asking uncomfortable questions or speaking truth to power when the interests of my state and my country are at stake. I will neither be intimidated into silence nor pressured into submission. My voice will remain fearless, independent and uncompromising.
