Tweeting about a range of stuff - and not following an arbitrary 'party line' on anything - means I end up with followers who might be disappointed that I'm not a cheerleader for 'their team' (regardless of the topic). So, thanks for following, but consider yourselves warned :)

Sunday evening rant: Mainstream politics has gotta stop telling people how they should feel, and criticising them for how they actually feel. That's *literally* what gave birth to Trumpism, and is boosting ON. If you won't *act* to help them, don't be surprised by their vote.

Shorter version: Bad management teams measure inputs. Good management teams measure outputs. (Free investor tip: Don't invest in businesses with bad management.)
I've been in these situations before. The good staff leave, because they want flexibility The bad staff stay, because they have no other choice. It's the best way to dumb-down your workforce.

I've just been served a Pauline Hanson tweet from yesterday, on unrelated, non-policy/politics Twitter accounts. Why? We know. The algorithm.

Gotta love players swapping jerseys at the end of #AusvsFiji. The way it should be.

(By the way, this song predates Trump by a decade and a half, but was essentially a prophecy. And why did he get re-elected? Because they didn't listen.) youtu.be/t7lPLwtIHMs?si=UdhE…

Don't tell people they should be okay with the circumstances they find themselves in. Act to actually fix it, or face the consequences. It's a story as old as time, but rather than act, the majors just employ more spinners. Madness. And, frankly, the country might pay.

Day 12, Ch12: Buying, holding and selling. This chapter reminds us to buy TO hold, not simply buy AND hold. That it’s ok to sell under certain conditions which Scott (referencing Warren Buffett) outlines in this section. @TMFScottP #theonepageinvestingplan

See... *this* is the thing. It doesn't matter (in this context) what caused or is causing inflation. It only matters what governments do, or don't do, to help. And this is the cost of not helping. Please think about that when you defend inaction.
Inflation is bad. It's worse for those who already spend everything they earn. And worse still when the inflation *rate* on essentials is greater than on discretionary spending. *Those* are the people getting hurt most, and why we *must* bring inflation down.

No @tesla #Cybertruck for Australia, per an email from the company this morning. (No, I probably wasn't going to buy one, but put a deposit down when they were announced years ago, just in case!)

Two things keep going through my head: 1. This is as bad as AI will ever be; and 2. At some point in the future, it will be unremarkable, just as the internet is today

The RBA can't (won't) be any clearer. Reduced government spending would reduce pressure on inflation. Governments (Federal and State) must heed the warnings. (The Feds should reduce State funding, too.)
