We are now a family of 300-plus MSc Medical Postgraduates from across India — studying in, and graduated from, medical institutions that include prestigious state and central institutions. That legacy is ours, and it is still being written. The family is growing bigger with every passing day. The MSc Medicine Association (TMMA) is that family. For more than six decades, MSc Medical Postgraduates trained in medical colleges have taught Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology and have contributed to research and healthcare in institutions across the country. What was missing was a single, clear identity: not as a scattered group of teachers, but as medical postgraduates whose qualification was earned under the faculty of medicine. TMMA was formed on 25 April 2023 by MSc Medicine-qualified individuals, for MSc Medicine-qualified individuals, and for the betterment of medical education and health. It is a registered national association. Its members come from state and central institutions, and other medical colleges, and from batches that stretch from earlier generations of teachers to students still in the classroom. What binds this family is simple: •A shared qualification earned in medical institutions •A shared role in medical education •A shared demand for respect, recognition and registration under the National Medical Commission, in line with the provisions of the IMC Act, 1956 and the NMC Act, 2019 From a handful of colleagues who decided the community needed its own voice, TMMA has grown past 300. Every new member — student or graduate, north or south, state or central institute — makes that voice harder to ignore. This is not just a membership count. It is a record of who we are, where we trained, and what we have already given to medical education in India.
