How the hell are we supposed to work when Brewers may win the WS tonight?

Brewers are feeding my soul tonight.

I'm no economist but the price of everything going up like 30% every year but wages sticking to like 3% doesn't feel sustainable.

So at this point food is wildly more expensive than it was 2 years ago and far more likely to be unsafe to eat. This seems sustainable.

I've had Xcel energy for over a decade. I've never heard of an "energy action day" before this year and now its like every other day. But yeah, data centers are good and have no impact to our energy grid. 🙃

The venue diagram of people who hate property taxes and want them eliminated and people who see no issue with police departments going massively over budget year after year for overtime/standby pay is a fucking circle.

I know its been a minute now but the 2010s opened with the great recession in full force and ended with Trump and covid. Like yeah things were cautiously optimistic a bit in the middle but most millenials entered a job market with like 0 good jobs and massive student loan debt
I empathize but a lot of millennials experienced a frozen economy due to the recession in 2008. I graduated college in May 2008 and it was the worst of times. It was also hard for us to optimistic when we were all broke. Life was cheaper but $0 is still $0 lol.

In all the "physical media is dead" convos no one ever brings up that 20 years ago everyone was absolutely certain books were a dead medium and book stores would be gone by now. In reality stores like Target have expanded their book section w/ many more new book stores opening.

God this blows. Even tho I have an Xbox what this means for the industry... more or less feel like Sony just announced that this will likely be my last console gen (c'mon Xbox, please take this lay up from Sony and do something very pro consumer).
Important updates: News on physical discs for new games - play.st/4v86Wg3 News on PlayStation Store on PS3 and PS Vita - play.st/4vEN9FX

Still trying to understand why building out public transit requires like 10 years of debate and arguments no matter how much it is supported (and still likely to fail) but data centers that communities frequently don't support go forward in months with massive tax breaks.

Absolutely wild that UPS apparently charges $10 per package held with a vacation hold (completely free with FedEx and USPS). Kinda thing that would make me never ship with UPS if I was a retailer.

I will never understand the design philosophy of having a nearly empty nav bar with like 8,000 options in a menu and everything requiring 5 clicks minimum. But the nav bar is "clean". Feels like equivalent of shoving all your shit in a closet when company comes over.

Canceled Netflix today after being a subscriber for roughly 20 years and HBO after sbout 6 years. Between it and HBO that was $40 a month for services I barely watched. When I could share my account with family I could justify the price and I refuse to pay for ad versions so...

Assuming there even is a real election, Dem establishment is clearly already gearing up for Harris to run again and they will absolutely push that the reason she lost was she was way to far left and the path to victory is sway moderate Republicans by going further right.
New - 2028 Presidential poll 🔵 Harris 34% 🔵 Newsom 20% 🔵 Shapiro 10% 🔵 Buttigieg 10% 🔵 AOC 7% 🔵 Booker 6% 🔵 Moore 3% Rasmussen #B - LV - 1/27

Fucking Twitter... couple months ago people were bitching that the copyright text for predator badlands title card "took them out of the movie" and now seeing people suggest normalizing people taking photos of the title with their phones... this place man...

Ugh. This would be the 4th solo Wolverine movie and the 8th X-men film where he was the primary character. There are other X-men... Personally hope this turns out to he incorrect...
