South Africans would quickly realize the Starlink ban makes zero sense if they forced the government to reveal its own rural connectivity plans.
The truth is, Politicians have no alternative that even comes close. This blockade isn't about sovereignty or consumer protection, it's about extortion.
Millions of citizens and school children are having their futures held ransom by an artificial digital divide, all to enrich a few well connected cadres under the guise of "regulation."

ITALY IS DYING — AND THE NUMBERS ARE BRUTAL
Italy just recorded its lowest number of births since 1861.
Only 355,000 babies were born in 2025, while deaths reached 652,000 — a net loss of nearly 300,000 people in a single year.
The total fertility rate has collapsed to 1.14 children per woman, far below the 2.1 needed to sustain a population.
This isn’t a temporary dip.
It’s a long-term demographic collapse that threatens Italy’s entire future: shrinking workforce, collapsing pensions, aging society, and disappearing regions.
Without massive immigration, Italy’s population would be shrinking even faster.
This is what happens when birth rates stay critically low for decades.
Italy is the clearest warning sign for many other developed nations heading in the same direction.
This story is from December 2025. Why is it being rehashed?
64-year-old Karin van Aardt from Nelspruit (Mpumalanga) flew into Cape Town with her husband Herman to celebrate their only granddaughter’s 8th birthday.
They rented a car at the airport and headed toward Vredenburg. Minutes later, at a traffic light on Jakes Gerwel Drive in Bonteheuwel, a "smash-and-grab" turned deadly. A man smashed the window, lunged in, and repeatedly stabbed Karin while trying to grab her handbag. She died in front of her husband.
This wasn’t a remote farm or isolated area. This was right near Cape Town International Airport, in broad daylight, on a route thousands of visitors and locals use daily.
Another innocent life violently taken in a country where violent crime has become routine. Families can’t even travel safely to see their grandchildren.
Horror in Dubai.
A 24 year old American female airline worker in Dubai has been arrested.
Dubai police installed a surveillance tool on her phone.
Without her consent.
They found her sharing an image of a burning building with her mother.
So they set a trap.
They pretended to be her office staff and called her in for a meeting yesterday.
When she arrived, she was arrested.
2 years in jail.
That spying tool is installed on every foreigner's device in Dubai.
That means the Dubai Police are watching everything foreigners send to their families.
Every message. Every photo. Every video.
Including the most intimate moments.
Dubai has denied her a lawyer.
