SWACHHATA IS A PRACTICE, NOT JUST A CAMPAIGN. As part of Special Campaign 6, the Directorate of Public Health & Preventive Medicine (DPH&PM), Tamil Nadu conducted a Swachhata Pledge. Following the detection of Avian Influenza in a bird sample, a medical team led by the Chengalpattu DHO conducted a health screening camp today within the Arignar Anna Zoological Park, Vandalur premises. Human samples were collected from suspected exposed bird handlers and the Zoo Veterinary Team. Disinfection measures were implemented as per NCDC guidelines. The camp was inspected by the Director, Deputy Director and Assistant Director of AAZP, along with JD (CD), DD (SPHL) from DPH, DHO Chengalpattu and JD (AH), Chengalpattu. @HM_TamilNadu @HS_TamilNadu

Today, the Additional Director ( PHC ) conducted field inspections at Naravarikuppam UGPHC, Panchetti PHC and Medur PHC to review monsoon preparedness and cross verified anti larval activities. At Naravarikuppam UGPHC, the availability and functionality of generators and power backup facilities, essential drugs, Anti-Snake Venom (ASV) and Anti-Rabies Vaccine (ARV) were reviewed to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services during the monsoon. The Monsoon Special Medical Camp at Thandalkalani, Puzhal Block, and the fever camp at Thirupalaivanam, Minjur Block, were also reviewed. Emphasis was laid on close monitoring of fever and Acute Diarrhoeal Disease (ADD) cases, adequate availability of essential medicines, effective implementation of anti larval activities, and proper chlorination of all Overhead Tanks (OHTs) supplying drinking water. @HM_TamilNadu @HS_TamilNadu

Today, DPH & PM inspected the Fever Ward at Kadayanallur GH, Tenkasi District to ensure adherence to dengue treatment protocols, proper functioning of the ORS Corner, regular monitoring of patient vitals through charts, and availability of communicable disease testing facilities. தமிழ்நாட்டில் செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டு வரும் தேசிய தடுப்பூசி வழங்கும் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் பயன்படுத்தப்படும் தடுப்பூசிகள், உரிய தரக் கட்டுப்பாட்டு நடைமுறைகளுக்கு உட்பட்டு பெறப்பட்டு, நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்ட பாதுகாப்பு வழிகாட்டுதல்களின்படி குழந்தைகளுக்கு வழங்கப்படுகின்றன. தடுப்பூசிகளின் தரம் மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பை உறுதி செய்வதற்காக, சேமிப்பு முதல் குழந்தைகளுக்கு வழங்கப்படும் நிலை வரை பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்ட குளிர்சங்கிலி (Cold Chain) முறைகள் முறையாகப் பின்பற்றப்படுகின்றன. தடுப்பூசிகளைக் கையாளுதல், சேமித்தல் மற்றும் வழங்குதல் ஆகிய அனைத்துக் கட்டங்களிலும் உரிய பாதுகாப்பு நடைமுறைகள் கடைப்பிடிக்கப்படுகின்றன. கோயம்புத்தூர் சுகாதார அலகு மாவட்டத்தில், தடுப்பூசி செலுத்தப்பட்ட இரண்டு நாட்களுக்குப் பின்னர் வலிப்பு ஏற்பட்டதைத் தொடர்ந்து ஒரு குழந்தை உயிரிழந்துள்ள துயரச் சம்பவம் தொடர்பாக விசாரணை நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. அக்குழந்தைக்கு 07.10.2026 அன்று தட்டம்மை–ரூபெல்லா (MR) முதல் தவணைத் தடுப்பூசி, செயலிழக்கச் செய்யப்பட்ட போலியோ தடுப்பூசியின் மூன்றாவது தவணை (fIPV) மற்றும் நியூமோகாக்கல் தடுப்பூசியின் ஊக்கத் தவணை (PCV Booster) ஆகியவை செலுத்தப்பட்டன. தடுப்பூசி செலுத்தப்பட்ட பின்னர், நடைமுறையின்படி 30 நிமிடங்கள் குழந்தை கண்காணிக்கப்பட்டு, உடல்நலத்துடன் வீட்டிற்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டது. அன்று மாலை குழந்தைக்கு ஏற்பட்ட லேசான காய்ச்சல், பாராசிட்டமால் மருந்து வழங்கப்பட்டதைத் தொடர்ந்து தணிந்தது. மறுநாளும் குழந்தை நலமாக இருந்ததாகத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 09.10.2026 அன்று மாலை குழந்தைக்கு வலிப்பு ஏற்பட்டதைத் தொடர்ந்து, ஆரம்ப சுகாதார நிலையத்தில் சிகிச்சை அளிக்கப்பட்டு, மேல் சிகிச்சைக்காக கோயம்புத்தூர் அரசு மருத்துவக் கல்லூரி மருத்துவமனைக்கு அனுப்பி வைக்கப்பட்டது. அங்கு உரிய சிகிச்சைகள் அளிக்கப்பட்டபோதிலும், குழந்தை உயிரிழந்தது. மருத்துவப் பதிவுகளில், Febrile Status Epilepticus எனப்படும் காய்ச்சலுடன் தொடர்புடைய நீடித்த வலிப்பு நிலை குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இச்சம்பவம், தடுப்பூசி செலுத்தப்பட்டதைத் தொடர்ந்து ஏற்படும் பாதக நிகழ்வுகள் குறித்த கண்காணிப்பு மற்றும் விசாரணை நடைமுறையான AEFI (Adverse Event Following Immunisation) முறையின் கீழ் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. குழந்தையின் முந்தைய மருத்துவ வரலாறு, சிகிச்சைப் பதிவுகள், சம்பவம் நிகழ்ந்த சூழ்நிலைகள் மற்றும் தொடர்புடைய மருத்துவ விவரங்கள் ஆகியவை விரிவாக ஆய்வு செய்யப்படும். மேலும், இச்சம்பவத்திற்கான காரணத்தைக் கண்டறியவும், தடுப்பூசிக்கும் இந்நிகழ்வுக்கும் ஏதேனும் காரணத் தொடர்பு உள்ளதா என்பதை மதிப்பிடவும், உரிய நிபுணர் குழுவின் மூலம் விரிவான ஆய்வு மேற்கொள்ளப்படும். தடுப்பூசி செலுத்தப்பட்ட பின்னர் ஒரு நிகழ்வு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது என்பதைக் கொண்டு மட்டுமே, அந்த நிகழ்வு தடுப்பூசியினால் ஏற்பட்டது என முடிவு செய்ய முடியாது. அனைத்து மருத்துவ மற்றும் விசாரணைத் தகவல்களும் முறையாக ஆய்வு செய்யப்பட்ட பின்னரே, உரிய முடிவுகள் எடுக்கப்படும். முதற்கட்டத் தகவலின்படி, அதே தடுப்பூசிக் குப்பிகளிலிருந்து தடுப்பூசி செலுத்தப்பட்ட மற்ற இரண்டு குழந்தைகளும் நலமாக உள்ளனர். அதே வரிசை எண் கொண்ட குப்பியில் இருந்து தடுப்பூசி செலுத்திக் கொண்ட 549 குழந்தைகளூம் நலமாக உள்ளனர்.இந்த விவரமும் விசாரணையின் ஒரு பகுதியாகக் கருத்தில் கொள்ளப்படும். குழந்தைகளின் நலனும் பாதுகாப்பும் மிகுந்த முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்தவை. தமிழ்நாட்டில் தடுப்பூசிகளின் தரம், குளிர்சங்கிலி பராமரிப்பு, தடுப்பூசி வழங்கும் பாதுகாப்பு நடைமுறைகள் மற்றும் தடுப்பூசிக்குப் பிந்தைய பாதக நிகழ்வுகளைக் கண்காணித்தல் ஆகியவை தொடர்ந்து உரிய முறையில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டு வருகின்றன. பெற்றோர்கள் தங்கள் குழந்தைகளுக்குரிய தவணைத் தடுப்பூசிகளைத் தவறாமல் உரிய காலத்தில் செலுத்திக் கொள்ளுமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்ளப்படுகிறார்கள். தடுப்பூசி செலுத்தப்பட்ட பின்னர் குழந்தைகளுக்கு கவலைக்குரிய அறிகுறிகள் தென்பட்டால், உடனடியாக மருத்துவ உதவியை நாட வேண்டும். உயிரிழந்த குழந்தையின் குடும்பத்தினருக்கு எங்களது ஆழ்ந்த இரங்கலைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறோம். @HM_TamilNadu @HS_TamilNadu @SomaAnavarathan

Dengue Prevention & Control – Cuddalore District On 13.10.2026, Dengue control activities, including anti larval operations, were inspected by the Chief Entomologist (G) from Directorate and Regional Entomologist, ZET, Cuddalore, in Panruti Municipality Ward 27, Panchavarnam Nagar, Ward 10, Police Line, and the MT Puthur PHC area, LN Puram VP. Today, the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine inspected Panchupet UPHC, Kanchipuram Corporation. During the visit, DPH reviewed HPV vaccination activities, including vaccine and ice pack maintenance, and interacted with school children to assess their understanding of HPV vaccination. DPH also verified HMIS and ABHA entries, polyclinic services, dental chair functionality and drug storage practices. Vector borne disease control activities, particularly Dengue prevention and control measures, were reviewed.
