Libraries matter now more than ever.
I've long loved Toronto's amazing libraries. Toronto Public Library is the busiest public library system in the world, and our 100 branches represent a safe, welcoming, and caring space for millions.
Today and tomorrow, #ImLibraryPeople.
ALT It's "I'm Library People Day"! Today on "I'm Library People Day", we recognize the importance of the TPL to our city and its users, while highlighting the core values of our library system; equity, diversity, intellectual freedom, innovation, inclusion, integrity, accountability and quality service for all Torontonians. Despite the challenges that libraries currently face, the Toronto Public Library continues to ensure all residents have access to a broad range of information, ideas and opportunities. Today, we celebrate the Toronto Public Library and its branches as public places and spaces that help us to learn and grow, while encouraging open, uncensored dialogue and new perspectives. We love Toronto Public Library.

Barack Obama pens letter in support of librarians. "Your dedication and professional expertise allow us to freely read and consider information and ideas, and decide for ourselves which ones we agree with."
Simply put - librarians are awesome!

Folks, #BiblioBash was dope, my suit is fly, and my love for libraries has never been this high! Happy to have been a featured guest, where folks got to receive my book and chat about anything Rebound-related.
By the way, support libraries! They rock!

From Team TPLF - Happy New Year! 🥳
The Ahmed family shared what TPL means to them.👇
"I’m thankful for what the library means to my kids. I feel at peace knowing that whenever we are there, my son and daughter have a sense of belonging. In a world that can be pretty exclusionary, that means everything to us.”

A new Financial Empowerment program at TPL offers those living in high-needs neighbourhoods access to free financial counselling. This unique initiative is made possible thanks to donors including Shawn Kimel and Kate Schatzky & the Burgundy Legacy Fdn. cbc.ca/listen/live-radio/1-3…
Whether your tradition is Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or another festive celebration - all of us at TPLF wish you a safe and happy holiday season. 💙

Hi! 👋 I’m #LibraryLily and I love the library. Why? Please meet my awesome grandma. She’s a retired TPL Children’s Librarian who reads with me & takes me to the library. And, we like coordinating our outfits… wearing matching #ImLibraryPeople t-shirts.
