“Deporting children” (Social Forces) analyzes 200k+ unaccompanied minor cases (2009–2023).
Key findings:

‼️Racialized Latino children face higher odds of deportation than all other origin groups.
‼️Teenage boys are disproportionately deported—mirroring adult patterns of removal.
Our results highlight how race+gender+age+language+Indigeneity shape children’s fate in court.

At a moment when U.S. policy is tightening timelines, cutting legal access, and expanding detention, these inequities are urgently worrisome.
