After all Rabid and I went through making Halo: Traxus, it was really nice to read this in the face of everyone accusing me of being a hacker and scammer
Project Traxus has been outdone, outclassed, and tea bagged until the body disappeared so it won’t be getting any fixes on GitHub for that false Trojan report lol
However the Halo: Traxus 2 map mod and gametype by themselves alone available on Steam each passed VirusTotal all along! Zaphkiel has the scans and told me he’d take a look at em and let me know if he will lift the ban on our Halo: Traxus 2 lobby in Reach Renaissance or not! Just waiting on the all clear o7

This shit almost made me quit Halo
Been workin on the "Team Fortress 2 of Halo" since 2020. It started as a Reddit page I made called r/classbasedhalo. Gave out hundreds in Reddit awards. In my eyes, the first dev I hired tried to steal the project when I left to make r/haloTRAXUS. Deleted my stuff, but my comments and the profile picture I made for it are still there if anyone doubts my involvement.
Around '21-'22, I was told it wasn't possible in Halo 3. Which it wasn't at the time. Props to UNSC vs Covenant. But a modder named Drapperbat showed up in Reach CGB with the first class-based Halo mod, TF2 Halo. So that became the foundation for Halo: Traxus.
Drapperbat helped me turn TF2 Halo into Halo: Traxus by basing the classes on actual Halo characters instead of just Heavy or Sniper. We didn't have the skins, just a few names, a turret, and a few unique abilities, but it was as close as we could get to a hero shooter.
Until Rabid MagicMan DM'd me after seeing me host it. He was building his own TF2 Halo off Drapperbat's work with more unique abilities and armor, and asked me if I wanted to host it instead. I asked him to help us make Traxus. He had a Ko-fi and said he did this often. It was on.
Reach catered to Noble Team, Elites, and Guilty Spark. I said pick your price. It climbed with each class, crazy ability, or update. Spark alone was $1000. Paid him about $4k total through v24. Rabid was Lead Dev of TRAXUSi. Credited. Paid. But he advertised his Discord in the intro instead of the company he worked for.
We clashed over who it belonged to. He never even wanted to credit Drapperbat, and we argued about almost every single update. Rarely seeing eye to eye but always finding a solid middle ground on each. Just took days to get there sometimes. So eventually I took the game I paid for, the one we all worked tirelessly on, and we parted ways.
I was no picnic myself. Eager Halo: Traxus promotion, labeled spam. My play-to-earn crypto idea, meant to be fun and rewarding, labeled a scam. Stuff I said online that I thought was funny, labeled homophobic or racist. Told a minor not to talk to me, labeled a pedo. Political and religious conspiracies, labeled antisemitic. And I get why.
I was even accused of stealing my own game. Launched v25 with what I was capable of, essentially just changing the intro to TRAXUSi finally. There may be an I in TRAXUSi, but it's little, and ours. I just happen to be the founder of it.
Today we’re on Halo: Traxus 2 with even better skins, new characters, and ready for Steam. A lot needed to be cut for it to work, something we never agreed on but I thought necessary for the actual Jorge skin, new characters, etc. Even a long-dreamt-of Campaign on the horizon. Things were looking awesome.
But then I watched Project Reclaimer launch the UNSC vs Covenant hero experience in Halo 3 I set out to make in the first place. It was heartbreaking not to be part of it and watch everyone enjoy it. We still had Reach though, and Halo: Traxus 2. So I set out to make the Project Reclaimer of Halo: Reach, Project Traxus.
Spent hundreds vibe coding it to host mods, make gametypes with your own AI companion Vergil, and even tip your favorite creators. Primed with Halo: Traxus 2 to be the UNSC vs Covenant for Project Traxus. And for one day after I launched it, things actually seemed to turn around. For one day, Halo: Traxus was the hero shooter it was meant to be. 500+ likes. It was beautiful.
The accusers of my past came out again. "Crypto scammer, racist, thief, nazi". A hacker now too, apparently. Felt like a W against the haters. Until a day later, a better Reach launcher popped up... and the accusers got the last laugh again :/
I just felt so defeated. To the core. Or as someone once told me, "destined for failure". Maybe I am. Didn’t know if I had it in me to keep going anymore lol. But now you can find TRAXUSi hosting Halo: Traxus 2 in Reach Renaissance today… with a heavy, humbled heart.
