Thundersley Rovers (1963-2021)

Wishing former Rover Luis Shamshoum the very best of luck at Wembley this weekend when he represents Great Wakering Rovers FC in the FA Vase Final!

It was an honour to welcome Keith back to Thundersley in 2013 as Guest of Honour for the club's 50th anniversary event and continue his legacy. He will also be fondly remembered by Diss Town FC, with whom he spent many years after leaving Essex. God bless, Keith - and thank you.

It's with great sadness that I bring news of the passing of Keith Walker, the founder of Thundersley Rovers Sports Club. Keith formed the club in 1963 and launched the Thundermite (Thundersley's little mites!) League three years later.

Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Havens Hospices' Community Engagement Manager Jane Hopkins. We worked closely with Jane in 2021 when TRSC, led by then-Chairman Graeme Howlett, donated £10,000 to the Hospice. More info here: facebook.com/havenshospices
