Steve Young was 100% perfect in the day with the most upsets of top 8 teams in college football history.
This man knows football.

When things are moving very fast and people are losing their minds, it’s important to stay grounded. Turn off your phone, read scripture, spend time with friends, and remember internet fury is not real life. It’s going to be ok.

BYU's deafening crowd is causing tons of false start penalties by ASU. Reverent on Sundays, not so much on Saturdays. #ASUvsBYU

BYU rb Tyler Allgeier's strip on that 3rd qtr interception return might be the greatest forced fumble in the history of CFB! Jumped on dude's back, rode him, and with sideline-side arm punched the ball out and into the field of play. BYU recovered, saved a TD. Just wow. #ASUvsBYU

Instead of saying “I’m too busy for...” try saying “this is not a priority right now.” If it fits, you’ll feel better about it. If it doesn’t, you can align your schedule with what’s and who is important to you.
Be empowered over your time, don’t let it become an excuse.

I strongly encourage learning R if you have an interest in working with the treasure trove of data in the @nflfastR repo. There's no substitute for being able to ask your own questions. But for the vast majority of fans, this is a huge step forward. xitter.cf/mattdonders/status/131…

There's been too much "we don't want to scare people" and its alter ego cousin "we don't want to give people a false sense of complacency" going around since the start of the pandemic and it's probably made matters worse than just communicating as straightforwardly as possible.

I have been corresponding with the authors of the well-known Santa Clara County COVID-19 preprint, and I am alarmed at their sloppy behavior. The confidence interval calculation in their preprint made demonstrable math errors - *not* just questionable methodological choices.

We will look back on all this and either feel a sense of pride in how we all handled this time of uncertainty, or we will be sad at how little faith and courage we had. Please, keep the faith, and find the courage to hope. Better days are right around the corner I promise. #NBL

This is the way coaching youth sports should be. Lacrosse could use more coaches playing the long game instead of working to win club tournament games for Instagram posts. #ForeverMamba

It’s not enough to encourage our athletes when they struggle. We must also hold them accountable to their choices and behavior. Love and accountability have to be balanced to help them reach their potential.
