Key chart to keep in mind as the Conservatives suffer their worst ever defeat: The Tories didn’t lose this election because they were too right wing on some issues or too left wing on others. They lost because voters of all stripes judged them to be incompetent and dishonest.

So, I invented a thing. No, really. And, sincerely, it really works. Link in the bio and here’s the Kickstarter pre-launch link: kickstarter.com/projects/vox… Honestly, you may have no need for it… but you might know someone who does. #podcasters #journalists #voiceoverartists

"Make it one of your personal 2-3 top objectives for the quarter. Managers hate being cited as the reason you couldn't achieve your objectives." -@sarahjwells "There's a lot of power in public commitments, and you should use it to get things done." Brilliant! 👏😈👏

Because of an international move mid-pandemic I’ve not been to a tech conference in years, and none anywhere near where I live. So - does anyone anyone I know have recommendations for good ones to try in Central Europe?

As a classically trained cellist, composer, former Apple employee, and CEO of a design studio that specialized in icon and UI design, I am ~uniquely qualified~ to comment on the Apple Music Classical app.

Hmmm. I just had a bizarre experience, involving a global news organisation and a trillion dollar corporation. (I got caught in the middle, so... owch.) It’s not the sort of experience the people involved usually talk about in public… so I think I’ll talk about it in public. 🧵

Totally agree. Past company I worked at always wanted the team to "divide and conquer". I had to point out that in that expression, the thing that's divided gets conquered, so dividing the team is a bad idea! So much more efficient to have the team focus on one thing at a time.

Either he’s making a point I don’t understand, or this is totally mad. Doesn’t point 2 mean @jack thinks no CSAM/abuse/etc should ever be removed by moderators? Am I missing something here?
Replying to @jack
1. Social media must be resilient to corporate and government control. 2. Only the original author may remove content they produce. 3. Moderation is best implemented by algorithmic choice.

Nope, not misunderstanding, that’s exactly what he meant. Christ.
