🚨John Terry on Estevao playing only 45 minutes against Sunderland:
“I still don’t understand it. Xabi Alonso had been leaving this boy on the bench, but suddenly, when they were preparing to face Manchester United, he remembered he had Estêvão available.
Look at what happened against United. He was the difference-maker. He was unstoppable, taking players on, creating problems and making it extremely difficult for United to control him. That is the quality this boy possesses.
That’s what he can do against a big club like Manchester United. So if you trust him enough to start against United, why can’t you give him the same opportunity against a team like Sunderland?
We shouldn’t be punishing ourselves by keeping a player like this on the bench when he has the ability to win games for us. Chelsea didn’t spend money on Estêvão just to watch him sit there for 45 minutes.
They bought a special talent, a player who receives the ball and immediately wants to take responsibility, dribble past opponents and make something happen. Don’t take that freedom away from him. That’s exactly what makes him special.
These are the type of players every big club wants. Look at Lamine Yamal, he gets the freedom to express himself and nobody questions it. Estêvão has that same level of natural ability, but he isn’t getting enough minutes to show the world what he can really do.
You cannot buy a player with that much talent and then expect him to become a superstar from the bench. Give the boy time, give him confidence and let him play!”

PART II
The candle was almost gone.
Its flame trembled weakly, throwing shadows across the room like ghosts of a life John could no longer touch.
He stared at it the way a lonely man stares at the last thing keeping him company.
Outside, children laughed.
Their voices drifted through the night air—carefree, innocent, alive.
Life was happening beyond his walls.
People were falling in love.
Families were eating dinner together.
Dreams were being built.
The world had not stopped for him.
John shook his head slowly.
It never does.
For a moment, his mind wandered to his mother.
He could almost smell the familiar scent of powder and perfume.
He remembered the warmth of her embrace.
The way she cupped his face every morning before school and smiled.
“john, be good.”
Just two simple words.
Two words he spent years ignoring.
Two words he would now trade everything he owned to hear one more time.
A sharp pain settled in his chest.
Not because she was gone.
But because he finally understood what she had been trying to protect him from.
He had been warned.
By his father.
By his mother.
By teachers.
By elders.
By life itself.
But like many young men, he believed consequences belonged to other people.
Warnings were for those who failed.
Not him.
Not John.
He thought he had more time.
More chances.
More tomorrows.
Until one day, tomorrow stopped waiting.
And now, in a room lit by a dying candle, he sat alone with the one thing he could never outrun:
Regret.
On the floor lay an old worn-out mat.
Beside it, a candle flickered weakly, fighting to stay alive.
In the corner of the room lay a young man named John
The candlelight danced across his face as he stared at the ceiling, lost in memories.
Not too long ago, he was the pride of his family.
A bright young boy with loving parents, big dreams, and opportunities many people would have prayed for.
His parents sacrificed everything to send him to the best schools.
They believed he would become someone great.
But life doesn’t reward potential.
It rewards choices.
John fell in with the wrong crowd.
He chased pleasure instead of purpose.
Parties instead of plans.
Validation instead of values.
Every warning sounded like noise.
Every correction felt like an attack.
He lived as if tomorrow was guaranteed.
Then tomorrow arrived.
His parents died.
The friends disappeared.
The fun ended.
Reality showed up.
Now there were no certificates on the wall.
No savings in the bank.
No family left to call.
Just a fading candle casting light on a man who finally understood every lesson he once laughed at.
As tears rolled down his face, one question haunted him:
How different would his life be if he had listened earlier?
But here’s the uncomfortable question:
Should we blame John for wasting his opportunities…
Or do we ignore how many young people are making the exact same choices today, convinced they still have time?

What do you think of these ideas to improve The Boys?
First, focus on the Boys themselves, since most agree that's where the show started to go downhill.
For Hughie, he should co-lead the team, guiding them toward a more morally fulfilling path away from Butcher's consequentialist methods. He shouldn't be such a doormat for Starlight, and he should remain the main character driving the plot forward instead of becoming an underling.
As for Butcher, MM, Frenchie, and Kimiko, I'm unsure of their development this season. However, Butcher will work separately from the team due to leaving them for dead in season 1, reuniting near the climax.
During this time, he will bring new allies to his cause. This leads to my biggest change: more original members of the Boys. I always found it odd that there weren't more people wronged by Vought who wanted to fight back, so I added some.
First is Lily Johns (played by Amandla Stenberg), a woman from Texas whose back was broken when the local supe Ironcast was "saving" her from a burning building and accidentally crushed her spine, leaving her wheelchair-bound. Butcher approached her because she rejected the payoff and fought Vought relentlessly; she's also a master hacker comparable to Snowden.
Second is Frank Johns (played by Shea Whigham), Lily's police officer father who fought Vought when they tried to brush the incident aside. He respects the law but sees the deep corruption and the need to work outside it. He tells Butcher off for abandoning the team and worries that Lily is turning into Butcher with her vendetta.
Third is Jessica Bradley (played by Jodie Comer). I'm scrapping Sister Sage entirely, as Jess is a smarter character and better parody. She's a British reporter already investigating Vought before the series began. She wasn't in season 1 because she started her crusade only after the Boys disbanded following Mallory's grandkids' deaths. Butcher approaches her in season 2 for her connections and dirt to rescue Becca (lying to the team about his true goal). She refuses at first, finding him unstable and dangerous, but concedes after seeing Frank and Lily.
Finally, Tech-Knight. Born in 1972, Robert Vernon (played by Michael Fassbender) is the son of wealthy industrialist Mortimer Vernon, who accepted Vought’s offer to inject his son with Compound V. His father demanded more from Vought until they sent Saving Grace to assassinate him and his wife one night, with Robert in the back seat.
The event traumatized Robert, and he vowed to fight and dismantle Vought. His ability manifested as high intelligence, which he used with his wealth to build an advanced suit of armor. After exposing Oh Father’s molestation of young supes in 1997, he recruited Imp and Pigeon as soldiers in his campaign, subjecting them to brutal training like only feeding the winner of sparring matches.
Over the years, depression and unresolved trauma from his parents’ death turned him into a heavy drinker who abused his wards, causing them to leave. Pressure from the government and Vought forced him to end his crusade. By the time we see him, he’s a depressed alcoholic recluse, hounded for his tech, only snapping out of his stupor when he sees Stormfront accepted into the Seven.
Butcher recruits Tech-Knight because he hates Vought and "is a good weapon." He wasn't recruited during Mallory's time because she viewed him as too unstable, and they killed SwingWing (by spiking his drugs and making him crash into Euclid Ave at 1000 MPH).

You better ask the right questions, to know if you what life sentence you are signing in. I left my fiancé four months before our wedding because of one conversation.
We were discussing how we'd share responsibilities after marriage when he casually said, "I don't do chores. Cooking, cleaning, laundry... those are for women." 1/4

My parents stopped me from marrying my boyfriend, even though we had been together for almost 10 years. Instead, they pressured me into marrying a wealthy older man who happened to be my father's friend.
After the wedding, I couldn't let go of the life and love that had been taken from me. I secretly kept seeing my boyfriend, believing that one day we would leave everything behind and finally be together.

My Lady,
As you focus on your career, goals, and personal growth, don’t ignore your relationship life IF marriage is something you truly want.
Be intentional about the kind of man you allow into your life.
Look for someone responsible, hardworking, respectful, emotionally mature, and serious about the future.
