Very disappointed of course Couple of situations where I think we were not fair treated - ball hits wire before 1-1. VAR takes away a goal for us. But ok. Not England’s fault. They won the game. And I congratulate all my English friends. Will support you rest of the World Cup

I think in any normal year... If England went into a quarter-final against a side that had comfortably knocked out Brazil... With Saka, Rice and James not fit to start, Livramento already ruled out, another right-back option in Quansah suspended... and a potential Rice replacement having broken his arm in a freak accident... AND the game coming just 5 days after one of the most exhilarating, gruelling England matches of all-time... beating Mexico, in the Azteca... a place they hadn't lost since 2013... And you concede the 1st goal, for the 2nd time in 3 knock-out matches... I think a lot of manager's would panic and think "man, this might not be our year." Not Tuchel. He finds a way and his team, which are so, so gritty and determined, find a way. What a guy!

Since the start of February, Noah Okafor has the second best minutes per goal ratio across all of Europe's big-five leagues (one every 68 minutes), behind only Harry Kane (every 49 mins). #lufc

Four defeats in 24 games since this, and only one of them by more than one goal. A phenomenal run. #lufc
🚨⚪️ 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 | The future of Leeds manager Daniel Farke is at risk. If he loses the next two home matches against Chelsea and Liverpool, senior figures at the club expect him to be SACKED, reports @guardian. 👋❌

Anton Stach is the only player in the Premier League this season making 2+ tackles (2.1), having 2+ shots (2.2) and creating 2+ chances (2.4) per 90 minutes. He is the only player to do that for a newly promoted club in any of the last 15 seasons. #lufc

11 - Leeds United's equaliser v Sunderland was just the second goal scored in the Premier League this season with all 11 players involved in the move, after Rio Ngumoha’s goal for Liverpool at Newcastle in August. Teamwork.
