I HAVE YOUR BACK tells the story of America's newest Medal of Honor recipient. The book also pays tribute to SSG Ollis' remarkable family, friends & fellow soldiers. Many of us pushed for Michael to receive this award & tonight, our mission is complete. 🇺🇸 (4/4)

We remember Tom Skerritt, who has died at 93. As Commander Mike “Viper” Metcalf in Top Gun (1986), he brought quiet authority and humanity to an enduring portrayal of naval aviation. He later returned to a naval role as Captain Bill Rhodes in Tears of the Sun (2003).
An Air Force veteran, Skerritt’s commitment to those who served extended beyond the screen. He co-founded the Red Badge Project, helping veterans find their voices and share their experiences through storytelling.
Our condolences to his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Refreshing to watch a World Series with 2 likable teams that play actual baseball instead of sitting around waiting for the 3-run homer. Good luck to the Brewers & Rays — congrats to both teams & fanbases. #WorldSeries

NFL is borderline unwatchable with the amount of penalties. I mean it’s every play. No game flow

Two staffers for the WNBA PR department sat during the anthem, one with his arms crossed the entire time.
After the anthem ended, I asked them why they didn’t stand. Neither would say.
A 27-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after police said they found him using a sledgehammer to smash an Iwo Jima statue in Quantico, Virginia.
Officers responded to Richmond Highway and Fuller Road at about 10:13 p.m. to investigate a report of property destruction. When they arrived, they found a man, later identified as Miguel Alonso Maldonado Soriano, "actively damaging" the statue, according to Prince William County police.

Eagles lost and Giants lost. Once again, the NFC East is WIDE OPEN. Washington just has to actually want to win a game.

Bryan Cranston has written a tribute for his ‘Breaking Bad’ on-screen son RJ Mitte who tragically passed away due to suicide.
“We were texting each other just a few weeks ago - figuring out when we could meet for lunch. I don't know if that lunch would have changed his future... But I do know that I loved him.”

On October 2, I was honored to host Medal of Honor recipient Nicholas Dockery and his fellow Soldiers at the Pentagon 14 years to the day after their battle in Afghanistan. All of these men served in the 4th Infantry Division, carrying forward the legacy of the Soldiers who landed at Utah Beach on D-Day.
Ask Nick and his teammates about that day, and they’ll tell you they were simply doing their jobs. Their actions reveal the extraordinary courage behind those humble words.
Ambushed by an estimated 150 Taliban in Kapisa Province, they fought for four hours. Every American was wounded. Not one was left behind.
That same warrior ethos was evident on D-Day, when Brigadier General Theodore Roosevelt Jr. landed with the 4th Infantry Division’s first wave at Utah Beach. Finding his troops had landed off course, he declared, “We’ll start the war from right here,” and led alongside them under fire.
From Utah Beach to Afghanistan, the 4th Infantry Division’s legacy endures: lead from the front, accomplish the mission, and never leave a fallen comrade.
Nick has never viewed the medal as his alone. He shares that honor with the men who fought beside him.
Nick, Joey Comparato, Roshan Baum, Quinn Henson, Jon Dingler, and Will Nabinger. Thank you for your service and the example you have set.
These are the giants upon whose shoulders the next generation stands. May we honor their legacy by living up to their example.
Steadfast and Loyal!!!
May God bless our troops and their families, whose service and sacrifices keep our nation strong and free.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
