My friend and former lab mate, Aurora (2nd-year clinical psych PhD student) has been diagnosed with cancer.
Any donations to help cover her imaging and treatment costs would be immensely appreciated.
Thank you for your support! ❤️

Air pollution warnings are becoming more and more familiar in the United States. Newly published research suggests that even air pollutant levels deemed safe by the @EPA are linked to changes in brain network connectivity development.

A timely #TruthAboutTeens! Can teens think critically about #voting rights? They sure can! Research shows that teens use more complex justifications for changing the voting age than adults. ⚖️

We are back to our #TruthAboutTeens series! Should adults avoid talking to children about race? Research says no! In fact, studies suggest that White parents talking to children about race can decrease youth anti-Black bias!

A few incoming PhD students have asked me what they can do now to prepare for grad school. Here’s my advice - don’t refresh on stats or or try to get a head start on research. Instead, do absolutely nothing! Sleep until noon, spend time with loved ones, & binge watch trashy tv!

It's an honor to be supported by @AmPsychFdn as I partner with schools to understand the impact of ethnic studies classes on students' identity, activism, and well-being. This study is truly a dream come true.

Got really tired of seeing Bronfenbrenner's bioecological model illustrated only w/ white boys. So we made a new (prettier) version centering Black girls.

It's been such a joy to work with @ecKeRSt0rFeR over the past two years! Yesterday, she presented her summer research, which focused on measurable benchmarks for anti-racism and civic development in schools.

My piece in @NatureHumBehav on reimagining the future of sample diversity. Human diversity is a continuum, not a dichotomy. The time has come to evolve diversity classifications & promote an accurate representation of the human race in behavioral science. nature.com/articles/s41562-0…
