I can't put into words what Wayne Martin meant to our basketball & golf programs @ Transylvania. From our 1st talk as a HS senior after a game in Clay Co. (he was there to see Richie) to just a few months ago, he made a significant impact on my career. "Coach" made everyone around him better. He was a great coach, a tremendous leader, a giant in KY broadcasting but most importantly, a great father & friend. I was fortunate enough to coach all 3 of Wayne’s sons at Transy. Chris & Matthew played bball/golf & Michael golfed too. Having "Coach" trust me & Transylvania with his 3 sons is something that has always meant a great deal to me. A lot of people throughout Kentucky know about the elite programs we have at Transylvania because of Wayne Martin. He believed in what we were doing, talked about it, supported it and helped give our program a platform & credibility throughout the state. And if we played a game and he didn't see the score or some highlights at 11:20pm, a couple of my dear friends @wkytsports heard about it .... sorry guys 😂. I know for a fact there have been opportunities for our players, our coaches & for me personally that happened because Wayne opened a door, made a phone call, said a good word or simply made sure someone knew what was happening at Transylvania. You can’t put a $ amount on how much he helped us. I’ll always be grateful for what Wayne did for my career but I’ll be even more grateful for his friendship. Thank you, Coach

Scotland did not disappoint! After a week of basketball recruiting, we headed to Scotland for a little relaxation, sightseeing, golf recruiting and scouting out some of the best courses in the world for our upcoming @TransyGolf trip. Special thanks to Lexington based Grasshopper Golf Tours for planning everything out for us. We look forward to the next one! THANK YOU COACH STONE!! Not many people get to say they went to the NCAA Tournament as both a player & coach at the same school. Mike Stone did exactly that & had a huge impact on everything we’ve accomplished over the last 7 years. Our players know him as a great coach, a tireless worker, & someone who truly cared about them. He poured everything he had into Transylvania Basketball. Watching a former player grow into a great coach & earn the chance to lead his own program is one of the best parts of this job. Thanks for everything, Mike. We’re going to miss having you on our bench, but we’re excited to watch you build on LCA's success. We may miss Kelsey and Tripp more!!  Proud of you! @TransyHoops – at Kentucky, USA

6 camps in the books for the summer of '26 and we start #7 today. "I wasn't expecting this much basketball" was one of funniest lines of the week. "This is the best camp I have ever been to BY FAR" was my favorite. This summer we have had campers/families from: Alaska, Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, New York Ohio, Tennessee, Texas West Virginia, Costa Rica & Korea – at Kentucky, USA

Our football team sucks!! Zero! Zero! 0️⃣ freakin' points. Fire em all!! #undefeatedsince1941

What an incredible 4 years for Tom, Will and Connor! I have heard Buchert pronounced 97 different ways during that time but @Transy got it right during commencement 😂! Thanks for having tremendous attitudes and relentless work ethic. You made @TransyGolf proud! #theshift – at Kentucky, USA

I have been a personal chauffeur, travel agent, caddie, therapist, meteorologist, nutritionist (Bdubs count?), equipment manager, academic advisor, part-time TSA agent, van DJ, snack distributor, swing psychologist, alarm clock, laundry consultant, sunscreen reminder service, coffee runner, weather delay entertainer, rules official, mediator over playlist choices, and expert Waze operator to these 3 seniors for 4 years throughout the entire south region of the United States. But yeah… apparently I’m also supposed to coach golf. 😂 Congrats to Tom, Will and Connor. It has been an honor gentlemen! If you ever need a ride, hit me up on the app! #theshift

What a morning! Play resumed at 7:30 am with only 2 golfers left on the course to complete Rd 2. Rochester had to get up and down for birdie to force a sudden victory playoff with the Pios. We were on the range preparing for the potential playoff when we heard the ROAR. The playoff was a 5 count 4 with two groups of 5 playing. @TransyGolf beat Rochester in the first playoff to advance to the final two rounds of the NCAA Men's Golf Championship at Mission Resort. Senior Tom Buchert (Cincinnati, OH) delivered a clutch birdie (🎥 below), while Ty Ruttinger and William Carr each added steady pars. Andy Steed’s bogey rounded out the counting scores, giving the Pioneers a team total of even to advance. 3rd round action starts NOW on @Clippdscore ⬇️⬇️ scoreboard.clippd.com/tourna… @NCAADIII @D3golfguys
