I’m currently taking a content creation course because yes, even educators and creatives need continued growth. And I’ll be honest: it’s been eye-opening, inspiring and kind of scary. One of the biggest themes we’ve explored is consistency. Not the buzzword version, but the versions that asks: "How can I keep showing up for my mission, my audience, and myself…even when it’s hard?" This week we unpacked three common blocks to consistency, and as I reflected on them, I saw my own patterns: → Allowing fear of judgement hold me back from sharing content → Believing I don't have enough "time" → Letting perfectionism hijack my message As a small business owner, author, and educator, I wear a lot of hats and sometimes “showing up” feels like one more impossible task on my ever-expanding "To Do" list. 👉🏽But here's what clicked: The same mindset blocks that slow us down in our creative work? They also show up in our financial lives. So let's walk through those three blocks and more importantly, how we can reframe them to build a more compassionate and empowered relationship with money. ✔️ Block 1: “Will it ever be enough?” You’re earning. You’re trying. And yet, it still feels like you’re treading water: rising prices, high taxes, unexpected costs, and pressure to grow your wealth on top of it all. 💡Reframe: Progress doesn’t always shout. Start tracking your small wins, whether it's a negotiated bill, an extra savings on a purchase, paying off some of your debt. It all adds up. ✔️ Block 2: “I don’t have time.” This one’s sneaky, as it often disguises itself as “busyness” or waiting for the perfect moment to sit down and deal with your finances. But the truth is, if it’s not scheduled or prioritized, it rarely happens. 💡Reframe: Build a rhythm. Schedule a weekly Money Date. Just 15–30 minutes a week and check in with your finances. ✔️Block 3: “It’s outside of my control.” Maybe you've thought: I wasn’t taught this…I’m just not a money person…It’s all too complicated, someone else can handle it. Remember, when we outsource our money, we outsource our power. 💡 Reframe: You don’t need to know it all. Just stay engaged. Financial empowerment is a leadership practice. What I’m reminding myself (and my clients): Consistency isn't perfection. It's devotion. Devotion to the life you're creating. Devotion to showing up, even in small, quiet ways. #FinancialWellness #MoneyMoves #MindsetShift #financialeducation #WritingCommunity #kidlit
