Proud of our Vice Chairwoman for making the case: Latinas and their families deserve the same GLP-1 access Medicare patients have. Lawmakers should fund Turquoise Care coverage this session.
Our National Board Vice Chair Lorena Blanco-Silva in @thenewmexican: Medicare patients can now get GLP-1s for $50 a month, but New Mexicans on Turquoise Care have no coverage for obesity. Lawmakers can fix this in January. santafenewmexican.com/opinio…

Many thanks to @RepSylviaGarcia for joining the #LatinaEqualPayDay Summit on Capitol Hill to share that Latinas in Harris County, TX, only make $.37 for every $1 earned by a white male. The time for action is now.
Today is #LatinaEqualPayDay - and we are on Capitol Hill having important discussions to address the issues and call for change.
So proud of my friend and hermano @thepoetmendez - not just for his accomplishments but for the genuine, giving human being that he is. Friends, family, students, and anyone touched by his work are all richer for his influence.
