Thanks to Bruce Shutan for featuring Tabit in his latest @IRMIowl piece on how captive insurance fits into the digital asset risk landscape.
The insurance industry is on the hunt for new capital sources. It has leaned on the capital markets for years, most often through bonds, and has increasingly become comfortable with assets like private credit, where valuations can be relatively opaque. Against that backdrop, Bitcoin is now a $1.5 trillion asset class with transparent, continuous pricing. Getting even a small slice of that onto insurance balance sheets opens up a new and uncorrelated source of capital.
The harder part isn’t necessarily the risk, it’s the perception. The reality is that a dollarized Bitcoin balance sheet at a conservative loan-to-value can be very de-risked, with strong solvency ratios. Getting people comfortable with that mostly comes down to education, and pieces like this one help.

Digital asset adoption has outpaced insurance capacity, leaving a small share of on-chain assets insured. Read Stephen Stonberg, Tabit’s CEO & Co-Founder, on the protection gap on LinkedIn. #DigitalAssets #Reinsurance
We're excited to announce that Tabit Insurance has been named a finalist for the Crypto Award at the @usa_fintech Awards.
The US Fintech Awards celebrate the companies driving innovation across US financial technology. It's an honor to be recognized for our approach to putting Bitcoin to work, helping holders generate uncorrelated returns while channeling new capital into the global reinsurance market.
Thank you to @FinTech_Intel, and congratulations to our fellow finalists.

The insurance industry has traditionally treated Bitcoin as too risky for conservative balance sheets and private credit as a safe source of yield. The reality is closer to the opposite.
Private credit now makes up nearly a third of insurer assets, much of it funding the AI infrastructure buildout through loans that are rarely tested against actual market prices. Just this week, U.S. prosecutors opened an inquiry into affiliated private credit holdings at two U.S. life insurers.
Stephen Stonberg, our CEO and Co-Founder, discusses in his latest piece why the industry should reconsider which asset actually carries the greater unseen risk.

Building a next-generation (re)insurer means keeping pace with the breakneck speed of innovation, and turning that pace into a stronger offering for our partners.
The first half of 2026 gave us plenty of chances to do that, from executing the first CLI-native AI agent payment for a regulated (re)insurer to being named a finalist in the @Hedgeweek Global Digital Assets Awards and @IInsiderUS US Awards, and selected by the @GBBC_io as a partner.
Thanks to everyone who has been part of the journey so far. We're just getting started.
Tabit Insurance has been named a finalist for Startup of the Year in the Insurance Insider US Awards 2026.
The US Honors recognize the companies and people driving the US (re)insurance market forward. To be counted among this year's finalists is a real vote of confidence in our mission, and one the whole team takes pride in.
Congratulations to all the finalists.
Bitcoin holders face a real dilemma. How do you hold through corrections without being forced to sell? Our CEO & Co-founder @StephenStonberg explores that question in a new op-ed featured in @CoinDesk's Crypto Long & Short newsletter.
In the piece, Stephen makes the case that reinsurance offers a structurally different source of yield. Returns are driven by real-world risk selection, not crypto market direction. Bitcoin stays in custody. Premiums come in dollars. And the underlying exposures are uncorrelated to both crypto and public equities.

Great to see Tabit featured in Global Blockchain Business Council's (@GBBC_io) 101 Real-World Blockchain Use Cases Handbook, a resource used by government agencies, regulators, and central banks to deepen their understanding of digital assets.
Tabit converts idle Bitcoin into productive capital for the global reinsurance market, allowing BTC holders to generate USD yield without selling, lending, or rehypothecating their assets. It's a model that connects crypto holders looking for uncorrelated income with an insurance industry looking for fresh risk capital.
We're proud to be recognized alongside other practical applications driving impact across industries and jurisdictions.

Two forces are reshaping the future of finance. The first is digital assets. Tabit Insurance was built around this, bridging Bitcoin, (re)insurance, and institutional capital markets to innovate the (re)insurance balance sheet. The second is AI, and its integration into our core business has been part of Tabit's vision from day one.
We have several AI initiatives underway, but we're excited to share this one: a partnership with Ra Pay AI to execute the first CLI-native AI agent payment in insurance, and the first AI agent payment for a regulated (re)insurer. Two industry firsts. One rail.

Risk management is evolving on every front, and digital assets should be at the center of the conversation. Tabit Insurance is at @RIMSorg RISKWORLD in Philadelphia this week to help drive that forward.
CEO & Co-founder Stephen Stonberg is at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Let us know if you're attending, and we'll find time to connect.
Great to be back at @bitcoinmenaconf in Las Vegas for discussions on Bitcoin-backed lending, corporate treasury strategy, security, and regulation, with a standout keynote panel from @TimDraper. The momentum behind digital asset adoption is hard to miss.
The conversations offstage were just as valuable. Great to reconnect with @Koleyayyc, Chelsey Bigelow, @Insurance_CBC , and @JamisonSites
Tabit Insurance will be in New York on April 23-24 for the Insurance Insider US (@IInsiderUS) Conference. Come talk to us if you'd like to learn how digital assets are reshaping the (re)insurance industry.

A key takeaway from last week's BRIM conference: Barbados continues to strengthen its position as a leading hub for captive insurance solutions. The convergence of Bitcoin and (re)insurance is no longer theoretical. It is happening now, and Barbados is helping lead it.
An excellent start to BIBA's flagship event BRIM - our Co-Founders @StephenStonberg and Bill Shihara had an insightful conversation with Sir Patterson Cheltenham, G.C.M., Q.C., the newly elected Chairman of the Financial Services Commission.
Looking forward to another day of meeting insurers, reinsurers and consultants working together to ensure Barbados is at the forefront of insurance and risk management innovation.
Our CEO & Co-Founder @StephenStonberg argues the case for reinsurance as a yield strategy for digital asset treasuries.
Crypto yield products tend to break down exactly when you need them most, during drawdowns. Reinsurance offers a time‑tested, uncorrelated engine to turn dormant crypto into USD income. If you run a digital asset treasury, this should be on your short list of ideas.
